Antisocial Game
posté April 06, 2012, 03:16:38 | #1
Antisocial Game Why is this community so antisocial? In every other mmorpg I played grouping with random people is encouraged and done on a daily basis. In Wakfu people don't even respond if you ask if there is possibly still room in their group. Is this an European thing? I never was confronted with so much antisocial behaviour as in Wakfu.

Now of course you will tell me: join a guild, noob!

But I am in a guild, but often play at times when not many guildmates are online, and I would like to maximize my grinding time.

In every other mmo, the chat is constantly moving, while in wakfu, there is absolute silence 90% of the time.

Where does this animosity come from? Is it really required to start multi-accounting just because you want to play in a group to get good xp (fix solo xp ankama, it is retarded).

I guess I could join a bigger guild but the bigger guilds aren't based in Sufokia and members from different nations are apparently a big nono.

Seriously, I don't get this community. When I look at Nox Forums they are very active, while here the exact opposite is the case. I just wonder why this is because the game promotes group play.

I'v always found people to be very social, people are nice, finding groups is not that hard and the chat is always moving.

This may be a Sufokia thing, in Bonta everyone is nice.

Seriously, Maybe you're in very unfamiliar/inactive guild.

How about move the guild? there are nice peoples (Example; Myrmidon, Southern Cross) in sufokia.

after lvl 50, anyway you have to play in group.

have fun.

Hmmm then it is not antisocial game but it is antisocial community. (maybe change to other nation will help you?)

Actually in beta all the chats used to be spamed by spanish /portugal, etc./ players and you always could find a group, no matter where you were. Just keep in mind that they made different servers and the players are not so many now. So join a big guild and roll.

Sufokia is by far the nation with the least amount of players but if you find the right guild that shouldn't stop you from enjoying yourself, maybe you should create a new character and try the other nations before deciding which to stay at.

I pretty much feel the same, I'm an amakna player and i never seem to find that many people that are social, sure theres a guild here and there with actively chatting people in it, but randoms will usually plain out ignore you.

Grouping doesn't seem to be encouraged at all, which is sad.
Xp gain is not that much higher, loots not that much better.
I'm just hoping there will be more incentive to group at higher levels, if not forced grouping due to mobs overpowering you, that'd be nice.

Anyway - I doubt having this post on the EU forums will matter much, the US ones seem more active, seem to get proper dev responses and support, where as we just sort of get left behind, even with patch notes.

I still think iTs ridiculous our forums are split, could've simply merged them if you made sections for specific servers.. This is just ruining things like strategy and build guides.

Ohh and the fact i couldn't play with my friends because of region locking, that was great as well, sure theres ways around it, but there shouldn't have to be.

I don't know guys, for me this game is very social. At the beginning was quite hard, but now I usually have no problem with finding party. The best you can do is join the guild of course, but if you just want to meet some random people, go to some popular dungeon (Like Tsu Tsu in Bonta or Gobball in Sufokia (and probably other nations)). People are always looking for someone to do the dung run, so just join them. I promise you that after few dung runs you'll find some nice people that you will have contact with

We share the same pain, brah. And it may really be a Sufokian thing. I had my first character in Bonta and there were never dull moments in group-grinding. I moved to Sufo, tho. I was able to join Myrmidons but they were all too high-leveled and being the newbie that I am, 'leeching' took out all the fun for me. So, I try to find people around my level whenever I'm online.

The community is mature, sure, and most of them are nice -- just not talkative.

I've generally had no problem with level of socialisation. I've asked for help and received it, and people have asked me if I want to run dungeons, etc. (Brakmar, BTW.)

I thought your mention of it being a 'European thing' was interesting, because the absolute best social MMO experience I have ever had was on the English language European Fiesta server, which features a combined community of (mostly) UK players, Netherlands players, Swedish players and Finnish players.
