Shutdown again?;/
posté March 27, 2012, 12:31:23 | #1
Shutdown again?;/ Ok I can understand the shutdown when the patch comming, but I saw that it didn't just 2hours.
And know, there's another shutdown for what? Ankama don't know how to give us patch correctly or something? And few days ago there where another shutdown becouse this "name bug". Sorry, but I payed for 7 days of playing 7x24h not for 7x24h minus lot of shutdowns.
If U doing this that often U should give us back our time. It's not fair at all!

Give time back I mean give some extra hours of ours p2p ends time...

Haven chest glitch I think.

posté March 27, 2012, 12:33:39 | #3
the original shutdown was slightly over 2 hours, there was an additional shutdown 30minutes later because of a major bug(rogues were released early) than an additional shutdown 10minutes later because of a large bug(a lot of people haven chests were cleared)

Tbh im glad the did shut down and fix both issues straight away, rather than ignoring peoples problems later when they delete the character/bags

Not to be rude, but I think fixing bugs/glitches like this are a lot more important than leaving players to get irritated over a broken game.

Maybe you could do something else with your time while you wait?

Due to technical issues we had to bring the servers down to investigate.

I apologize for the inconvenience but I'm sure you'll understand that this was a necessary evil.

I can do a lot other things but... The thing is when they give as patch it supose to work correct, but no. They give as so bugged patch and doing shutdowns to try to fix it. They shouldn't be like this.

Give bugged game --> take money for subscibtions --> give bugged patch --> shutdown alot --> again take money for ending subscibtions...

We payed for waiting now. And i understand ther'e a lot of bugs that need to be fixed, but this bug shouldn't even egzist... Or not this number of it.

@Namisiaaa
Unfortunately, the very nature of computer programming means that sometimes, there will be bugs and glitches that occur due to adding new code to an existing structure.

Problems like this are not predictable, and often don't become obvious until patches go live, or people like you and I get our claws in to meddle.

And while I know that the game hit launch and still had issues, I've noticed from experience with public beta-testing that free QA... really isn't very useful.

I'm sure the developers are working as hard as they can to fix the issues that have cropped up after this patch. We just have to be patient a little while longer, and perhaps help ourselves to a bowl of ice cream or some other treat.

When this sort of thing happens, can you announce it on Twitter, as well as saying when the servers have come back up? It's nice to have that sort of thing coming in, so you don't have to keep checking every five minutes. Thanks in advance.

Reason for edit : changing to sound less unintentionally cheeky.

Well said I really get fed up of people whining on every post about bugs and nerfs, its a new game and there doing there best sure sign most of these people have not got a clue how hard and indepth computer programming is.

You're going to try and get compensated for unexpected additional maintenances?

You'll have better luck trying to get compensated 8 hours a day because you can't play while you're sleeping.

Programming is hard but putting a test build as final (rogues...) then launching it just shows you that received 0 inhouse testing. None, nothing, not a peak. That stuff is so obvious a blind monkey could spot it. And we complain about balance? Ha.

People rushed Ankama into newer content like children, demanding and threatening to quit.
When you treat a company this badly they are forced to rush out an unfinished product to meet demand.
I blame this kink fixing on all the whining brats in this forum.

Yeah, the poor poor company.

They are selling a product and customers expect this product to be good. If they cannot meet such standards then they better stop selling it alltogether. Also, as if they had ever listen to anyone demanding anything. They flat out ignore their players is what they are doing.

@programming is hard, yes but we have paid for a released product and yet they treat us like beta testers. I don't mind waiting a little. Loosing valuable in game items however is inacceptable for a p2p game.

But noone force you to pay, right? If you don't like the game, don't pay and don't play.

Completly agree with you, whenever i come on this forums all i see is I WANT THIS CLASS NERFED NOW, never anything positive.......from what i read the be all and end all solution is making all classes hit the same ammount, all have = range and all have the same hp, would everyone be happy with balance then.. or get bored and quit?

When I paid, which I did for 3 months, I expect proper service. You cannot be serious with that can you?

"Look my water is full of dirt" "Well, if you don't like it, don't buy it"

People being such slaves to the economy as the apologists here are really the bane of our society, not only in a game but everywhere.
