Terrible.

F2P is a lie... its more like "F2W" - Free to wander around.

You cant group, you cant join battles, you cant trade, you cant hunt most monsters, you cant try out the ecosystem.

F2p players are a nuisence! its like

"omg a nice person Oh wait... I cant do anything with them because they haven't paid..."

I feel like I am the one being punished because THEY didnt pay.

It should be:

-If you subscribe you can do anything with anyone at anytime, anywhere!
_________________________________________________________________

If you dont subscribe it should be:

-Choose up to 1 harvesting profession and 1 crafting profession per character.
-Still be able to trade, group and join parties or at least join and accept things without being able to create themselves. (p2p can invite a f2p to a group).
-Able to fight monsters that are 65% above the recomended ecosystem number. (to prevernt f2p ruining the enviroment).
-Able to harvest for your profession as long as there are 65% above the recomended ecosystem number.

Because this isnt a f2p game. All that a f2p person can do is hang out with friends and fight newbie monsters... even dofus was more "f2p" than this... at least there you could do anything as long as you were in the main city area. (which means - "Sure you can play but you probably wont get past level 20")

A true F2p game should be "You can play fully for free, but there are perks to subscribing!~ More inventory space, items, gifts, pets." Nothing gamebreaking or overpowering. That's why I loved mabinogi, Pets that let you travel faster and store things, ability to set up shop, guild creation, weekly minor gifts. Little perks that make the game more fun but not unfair to free players.

If u cant/dont want to play by developer`s rules - u should find another game and stop crying here.

posté March 19, 2012, 06:27:18 | #4
That's not rules, its a ripoff towards free players they cannot play at all, they might as well have a 10 day trial. A marketing trick to get more players. It is false advertisement and unsportsmanship business tactics.

I was asked for my opinion, and I gave it.

If you want to be a compliant sheep following your bourgeoisie Master's commands, go to your meaningless conner and conform.

Actually you can take all harvesting jobs from astrub.
You can join guilds, if someone invites you.
You can party with other F2P members.

I think its fair to F2P not able to handle kama / trade.
Just look at dofus, Bots everywhere.
Bots would destroy ecosystem..

i also think is fair but after 20 level as f2p it gets boring theres nothing to do it would be fair if we were allowed to into nations and kill gobbals or tofus and do some dungeon and the further ones would be members like warchiefs wild gobbals and ect

there is alot of f2p already.. i mean you can lvl till 15 - 20 o_O and about harvesting and fighting you also find out the system.. trials are about to see how the system works etc, if you looking for f2p games then you on the wrong place ^^ this game has been worked hard and long on.. why would they make 20% of the game f2p then lol, besides like i said the game is cheap.. 2$ for a week and 5$ for a month? come on guys that greedY? can't pay this little amount to play lol, the devs worked hard and long on the game its obvious they want something in return.. and if you can't pay or deal with the fact that the game is gona stay p2p then seriously youre on the wrong game and you can hate on me or flame on my reply or wahtever but im pretty sure im in the right here, oh and like Kuruibara said.. you already can take all the jobs in astrub and also join a guild or party with other f2p players.. what else do you want? and yes its true dofus is full of bots so lets hope the same wont hapen here..

Don't be so greedy

I'm sure they will change the F2P system, but they are focusing on P2P development right now, you know, F2P is not the priority... and for 1 EUR you can always test it, Im sure most people can afford 1 week subscription to test the game and you can achieve a very good lvl in that time and check a lot of the game to decide if you want to subscribe or not.

No, it wouldn't, because F2P players would kill all the monsters, and guess who would have to bring them back? Yes, P2P players.

meh didnt you read? this is p2p game not f2p.. get that in your heads please.. besides its cheap -.- why u so greedy and cant pay some little 5$ lol.., every person in here i bet has 5$ o_O
and no i hope they wont change anyhting.. f2p is good the way it is.. f2p in a p2p game is more ike a trial version -.- u can check how everything works and thats it.. so stop whining about it, besides lvl 20 is alot in wakfu at the moment

Just because it's cheap for you, that does not make it cheap for other people. We all live in different economic climates and have different situations that may or may not make the game expensive. It's nothing to do with greed.

About Wakfu's "trial phase":

I'd say the F2P-part of Wakfu is more like a trial version right now. It's fairly short but suffices to give you an inside look into how combat (including PvP), exploration, a little bit of crafting and the eco system works (politics excluded).

There will be a moment after 60-90 minutes when you leave the "first environment" at which point I'd encourage you to either start a new class or take a break an think about playing on - in which case I'd encourage you to subscribe, cause if you don't you'll run into a massiv amount of messages telling you that you can't do this and you can't do that (cause there has to be some point at which the developers start to get money for their work :S).

If you want to limit yourself on only trashing a limited set of creatures over and over again and not interacting with a whole lot of the environment -> there are players who play F2P as long as possible and level their characters. There are also players who stop Wakfu immediately as they realize it's not their cup of tea. But do yourself a favor, if you think the game is worth your time, pay some bugs, I dare say you'll get plenty of entertainment for your money.

look at League of Legends for example and my advice is u should think like 10 minutes a day about the brilliant marketing LoL has in game and outside game and u will have a successful game with no angry players and a huge playerbase
this isn't LoL ok? and lol was since the start a f2p game, also league of legends is a way dif game.. and the game sucks after a while of playing it.. like the only new thing there, are champions and skins.. nothing better rofl so don't compere league with wakfu please. just deal with the fact that this is a p2p game and league of legends is a f2p ok? now drop it
OH AND MAKAKO, THIS TIME I AGREE WITH YOU (i wrote in caps on purpose btw)

I'd like to say a few things.

First, the game is P2P, the "play for free" marketing is deceiving but i see nowhere saying that f2p players have freedom to do everything.

Second, even if we are paying customers, and even if some of our concerns are taken into consideration, lets face it, Ankama's target are people from europe, mainly france, where dofus/wakfu is very popular. The square partnership may give the same attention to NA players, but we're still out of the loop. At least that's how i see it.

tl;dr We international players are like an older sibling struggling to get more attention than our little baby siblings.

I just want to say that, we shouldn't be rude to the F2P , they are a member of us , we Remington are a like a family, just dont be rude and would you like it if you were in their situation , like they not allowed to get pocket money or their family are poor or their parents dont like to pay for the games.
