Drop rate vs Crafting

Drop rate vs Crafting As short version : How can we level up crafting with this low drop rates?

Well me and a few friends from beta made a guild. Then wanted to share the craftings. But as we all agreed on that we need bags first we started on collecting materials for bags.

Well there are a few bags you can make at low lvls. These are 3 space piwi bags. But they require dyes to make and these things barely drop. We killed like 100 piwis and got only 2 of them. While killing this piwis we leveled up too. So if we were trying to make an armor we would be high lvl for such armor.

Then after we gave up from piwis, decided that we shall go after Cottonsock bag. It is a lvl 15 recipe and require some gobball drops. We collected Wood and Bow meow hairs to lvl up our crafter to 15 so we wont lose any hardly got gobball drops.

After a day's work of 5 man we managed to make 3 bags. And noticed that they are for lvl 25 players

Drop rates on most items are extremely low now... it's like they want the game to be crafting focused, but how can you craft with no item drops to craft with?

Low drop rates, and crafting needs high amount of reagants...
I play pure water enu, and I barely get drops.

And item drop rate is a joke now.

I'm going to build a tent, put in fancy carpets and a crystal ball and offer predictions for the future. I had explained how exactly this would happen in the pre-subsciption thread... and it was one of the reasons I didn't subscribe of course.

By the way, do you honestly think its worth crafting your items now? If you wait a week you might find very large and fancy bags at the cash shop. Crafting just became 2nd-rate game mode.

PS I apologize for being so blunt. I honestly wish you guys the best, I am just trying to make a point against ankama's attitude here. Because this is also a reason the drop rates are so low.

Huh. I was going to post a screenshot to demonstrate, but it won't upload for some reason. So I'll just explain with words.
I've levelled to 16 only on piwis, pretty much, with a mostly water Enutrof. I only have enough beaks and clay to make maybe two basic piwi items. And taking up to 6 hours (Sorry, I lost count) only gave me enough dye to make 12 bags. Yeah.

But what pride it will give dropping something eventually XD

Naah, seriously, drop rate is too low. Maybe it's forcing us to invest into prosperity a little?
Or chance for human prices even for low level items?

Crafting is okay, I find it way better than dropping. However the actual quantity of items required to craft certain items is just too high. The quantity of items required should be reduced by 50%, at least!

Okay, I haven't had the time to test any classes other than Enutrof (Water-focussed, to boot), so what I'm about to say is by and large pure conjecture.
Today, I got gobball boots, belt, hammer, shield and sword from five consecutive fights - already in addition to a number of swords and a wand I got yesterday - and not nearly enough materials to make either the boots, or the belt (I don't have the professions to check the others, but they probably also require around 300 individual items each). So it looks like a water Enutrof will get all the items before he gets enough materials to make even half of them.
And since I'm getting most material drops from every single fight now, I'm beginning to suspect drop chances are affected by prospection to a much greater extent than I originally thought. With their (up to) 100-point bonus from using water spells and another 100 points highly recommended to gain from attribute points, they just might have a monopoly on gathering items, meaning they'll be the only reasonable class to hunt for items, meaning anyone will have to have an Enutrof alt just for that.
I don't want to live on this planet anymore.
