It's maybe for people that can't play for some reason and don't want their pets to die?
They put it to sleep and voila, no worries till they come back.

Dofus: Leave your pet at the Bow Kennel and pay kamas for the time they kept it.

Wakfu: Pay real money or let it die.

You just got a first taste of the boutique.

Dofus : Pet dies, go spend 6 hours in one of the worst and most annoying dungeons in the game

Wakfu : Pet dies, feed it an item you can craft in 5 minutes

You just got the first taste of not wanting to rip your eyeballs out their sockets.

I'm sorry, I didn't have the chance to find about that item that "you can craft in 5 minutes" in the short time pets were in beta. But let me point 5 minutes and less is crafting time for any item. Getting the materials is another story.

Personally I found the pet dungeon in Dofus pretty fun, I don't know why you 're calling it bad and annoying but each one has their tastes i guess. Sucks for you.

And finally, are you trying to be smart here? I don't know the recipe for your 5 minute item but if having the pet die is something so insignificant why didn't you say that in the first place to those who spend their money to get mummifying candies? The could just let them die and resurrect them later, right?

Either you are suffering from a serious case of nostalgia or you only went to the pet cemetery twice at the most, after the 7th time of running that dungeon you'll realize how terribly dreadful it is. The idea of the mummy candy is that it's an item of convenience not something that you are required to need. If people HAD to buy it every time they were going away you would complain it was forcing you to use the cash shop, if it was useless then you would complain about it being in the cash shop at all.

I'm sorry, are you blaming ME for people wasting their money on cash shop items because I didn't inform them?

Who is buying these mummifying candies already anyway? Are you seriously telling me people are going on a break the day after the games comes out?

That's exactly what I am saying. Sooner or later people will have to buy things form the boutique, because that's how the cash shops work in any game. Difference is games with cash shop don't require subscribtion.
Since you failed to notice, I didn't mean to blame you I just pointed out your argument was false. You were speaking as if having the pet die is no trouble at all. I don't mind you not telling anyone about the crafted item, I mind you bringing that up to show... whatever you wanted to show by your first post. Perhaps that Ankama is not trying to rip out your pockets with their new cash shop? That despite all their lies and scemes they re good and nice to us? So there.

posté March 01, 2012, 23:32:50 | #12
The difference is that the majority of games that don't have a subscription and have a cash shops require that you buy things from the cash shop to stay on an equal footing, like I said before you don't need to buy the candy, Ankama isn't forcing you to do anything. The item is only there on the rare occasion that you decide to go on holiday for a month. Even then you don't need it!

And how does

"I don't know the recipe for your 5 minute item but if having the pet die is something so insignificant why didn't you say that in the first place to those who spend their money to get mummifying candies? "

not sound like you blaming me? I think you failed to word you sentence correctly.

I honestly think you are just scraping the barrel for issues that you can use to attack Ankama, but trust me there are much better things to get up in arms about than a stupid 450 ogrine candy.

You do have a point. Thanks for correcting me and i'll make sure I won't use such insignificant reasons to attack Ankama again. Lucky it was you to bring me back to order.
