Why isn't it a good idea if you're enjoying the game? And why would you listen to people that don't sub= don't enjoy the game?
If you like the game and you know you're gonna play it and you have money, buy it for one year, it will cost you less than 1, 3 or 6 month sub and you'll get more ingame items, so why not? |

If u think like this i advise you to subs 3 month(if u want the pioneer thingy) and just manually subs 1 months or 3 months later if u still like the game. |

I wouldn't sub a year for anything that isn't even released yet, I mean in the worse case scenario the game will be shut down 6 months from now and you'd lose half your dough. I highly doubt that would happen but I wouldn't invest that much until I at least play for a week after launch.

I subscribed for a year. The game is great, and they've worked hard on it for years already, so I feel it's a good place to put my money. I don't know why people spread the rumour about the game being shut down within a year, I don't think that's likely. If they can run it for free for so many years in a beta, surely they can keep it up for at least the first year of release?
If you like the game, and if you have the money, I don't see why you would go for anything less than the full year. |

If Wakfu has gotten so far that even Square Enix want a part in it then I seriously doubt that it will go down hill anytime soon, even more so with the amount of years it has been in development, Ankama will be doing anything to keep it afloat.
I think if you're enjoying the game then £45 is a good price for a year, Much more gameplay hours then console games. Also if you decide to quite in 6months just think you helped fund a company who you really like. I think Ankama deserves my £45. |

I didn't mean to say Wakfu would be shutting down in a year, I was simply referring to a "worse case scenario" which means just like any MMO it is a possibility yet highly unlikely. I just think paying such a large sum of money for product that hasn't had at least a months worth of airing time is quite risky...but that's just my opinion.

Well Square Enix's FFXIV was in development for even longer than Wakfu and we know how badly that tanked. I don't think development time + budget is ever a good way too gage to sucess of a game, if that were the case Duke Nukem Forever should have been one of the greatest video games ever released. That being said, I have high hopes for Wakfu and would love to see it become as popular if not more popular than its predecessor. This post has been edited by felppe - February 23, 2012, 17:18:35. |

If you like it, then buy a year. Its not really expensive anyways Its infact much cheaper. I bought a year and i've only been playing for about 3 weeks. |

Well, let's see it this way, 1 year of Wakfu cost as much as SWTOR + 1 free month.
I'd rather play Wakfu for 1 year than buying that shitty WoW-clone (Which I unfortunatly did... such a waste of cash) |

since so many ppl is posting the same idea from a same view, which is comparing wakfu's 1 year sub price to other game and stuff, i'll give a diffrent idea from another view
paying 3 month then monthly later will only cost you several $ more than subbing 1 year directly, and u will avoid the risk of losing what ur money is worth when u decided u dont like the game/became bored/no time to play later on(lets say... 3 months after release? who knows). |
