I really don't think this thread needs to descend into the wonderful world of socioeconomics with people justifying why they think the subscription is or isn't expensive for other people.
Sir, you are my hero.

tbh, it comes down to the simple fact that this game has been in beta for too long, and still be in its current state. classes are being reintroduced days before its final release? with such major gameplay changes and the lack of direction the devs seem to have with some major features of the game its pretty much like paying to play another wave of cb. to some i am sure this will be all new and exciting, but for someone whos been here since the first beta there isnt really much i am looking forward to. and the final nail comes down to the simple fact that we the international community gets no love from any of the people who matter(i am talking about the lack of dev feedback or any communication as compared to the other 2 servers). i was really looking forward to this game and its a real shame.

I quit because it was laggy and the game shut down every 20 minutes. I asked for help but I only got other people with similar problems and moderators saying "it's not our job to help you". I'll try it again when it's released but if it still doesn't work I won't bother.

I'm here again. I played Wakfu today, after the update. It seems to be a little better. But still, lack of infomation or something, the healer power is not improved. Then i wonder what did they review and increase? Damage?

I'm looking for another game right now. I will stick around until i find another interesting game.

As said, this topic is here to allow people to say why they're quitting... While that might seem overly negative as a topic, at its most basic it is valid feedback for the game. It is a good insight into just what aspect of the game is so "problematic" for a person that they do not wish to continue playing. There are plenty of other topics open for discussing the game, what you like about it, etc. In fact, this thread has helped move "negativity" from other threads (obviously it is not 100% effective, since some criticism does not automatically mean someone is quitting).

Telling people to "Put up or Shut up" when they have voiced their reason to quit is not helpful. This thread has maintained a reasonably constructive nature without people trying to tell other people how they should think (i.e. it is not just a stream of "lol, wakfu sux, I quit" posts). If a person finds their computer has a specific technical issue with the game? That's when they try to play it... not when you try to play it and it works. It is their experience, and their opinion.

The title is "Why are you quitting Wakfu". If you are offended by the very concept of that, then you do not even have to read further than the title.

And really, please don't start silly conspiracy theories about competitors trying to sabotage the community.

Proffessions/Lvl up system it's like if in a zelda game you had to grind a dungeon to get the item. And then the developer team says "well, the Roc Feather allows you to jump, its a huge boost so we think its anormal to make it difficult to get it". Well, difficult =! boring. The point of a game is having fun while you complete the objetive.

FF13 got a lot of critics because the game is just a boring linear game that doesnt let you to explore at all. So you just grind to auto beat the boss and win the game. How funny.

Wakfu is just the same. "To get more power, you have to grind for hours! It is FAIR!!". How about i get items by defeating a boss that requires THINKING (this is supossed to be a SRPG for gods sake), or by a recipe i found EXPLORING THE WORLD, or i feel my character being unique by REAL stats and builds? How about i pay money for CONTENT?

This game is just too bad. I cant understand anyone who enjoys it. I have been there since its start, some times i stopped playing then came again, but this time i quit forever. The design is flawed and they arent going to fix it, no because they dont try, but because they lack the talent to do so. Its a bit sad.

lol sabotage.

anyway, I want to play past the release because I like the game...but during it's beta I've boycotted it many times due to several things...the following are a couple of issues i've had with the game overall;

  • corrupted/troll governor - at one point very recently there was a very annoying governor who deliberately made things in bonta hard to cope with, couldn't attack any mobs, couldn't collect resources, anything like that. thankfully i had managed to escape to amakna via zaap but then the governor waged war on the other nations. that's when i decided to quit and not come back until they were gone.
  • the continuous wipes leading up to the release - the feeling of losing all my items, my jellies, my wakfulily, all my kamas and hard-to-get achievements...it kind of made me feel that the past year was in vain. i made a character two days ago, and i'm already level 20...but there's hardly anyone online now. what's the point?
  • after the release of the game, i feel like it's going to be like the floodgates opening on a very large dam. i imagine it's going to get very crowded in those beginning areas.
  • what do the people who've been playing for a while on the beta get? sod all. if you've been playing since the 7th of feb, a whole two weeks ago, big whoop, you can reserve your name. otherwise you get nothing but a pat on the back and 'have fun doing it all again for nothing '

Quitting ? Not yet.

If it becomes like dofus, those blocked premium regions( AKA All the world), pets and things like that the yeah i will definetely quit.

But you know, gotta see to understand.
The spell and exp systems are awful...
Civilization points ? Burled that on my 1st day... Just killing and growing.

Should be revised.

He, the one who originally asked via this forum, himself says to not take it too seriously, yet here we are. There seems to be the tendency to make us believe that what is mentioned here will be taken up seriously by the game designers in order to improve the game. Do the game designers then lack the ability to see what needs to be improved? And, do they honestly expect to be able to design a game that caters to everyone?

Wakfu has been in development for ages, has been promised to be released quite some time ago. Now it is here, buggy, and priorities slanted towards being able to name your pet instead of nerfing the overpowered classes and fixing some serious bugs in the many spells we have.

1. Ankama can not cater to everyone's needs.
2. Ankama usually lags in informing this international community, other communities always for some reason seem to be more important. I am happy that this has been improved upon recently, and I hope they'll improve more in communicating with the community.
3. Ankama is known to be rather slow, look at Dofus, the many nerfings etc., took ages.

Still, I like the game, some are in doubt, and some are definitely will quit and move to what for them will be a better game - the amount of games is staggering.

And, wow, moderator, talk about taking things too seriously.
