Sadly, this has already begun to happen. There is real tension between Sufokia and Bonta, and people seem to be blaming it on nationality instead of unfriendly players. Separating the in-game nations into real world nationalities only brings out people's hatred for different communities and it is a place where racists will thrive. I have never played a game where there was so much hatred against other languages as in Wakfu. This situation scares me.
On the plus side perhaps we'll find two Nations at war with each other for once, rather than for 30 minutes.

Amakna is full of spanish / portuguese / Eastern europe player it is true it makes the game hard to play and you almost feel happy when you meet an english speaker. I managed to build a guild of 5 guys and the first question for recruiting is can you speak english !!!!!

You wonder how you are happy when you ask just a simple question like "Where is the nearest phenix" while wandering in Brakhmar and you got an answer in spanish .. when suddenly someone answer you in english.

But choosing a nation because of the majority of players in it is quite sad. We choose the nation because we like the idea of that nation, I xp in brakhmar most of the day because of bellaphone nd chafer, I found Sufokia too clear and not finished yet.

But for what Ihave seen Sufokia is deserted, Amakna is too crowded and brakhmar has just an average population, I haven;t been to Bonta yet.

opening Nox to uk player world be yes maybe a solution but a sad one.

Remington server, Bonta has a constant flow of people. Probably the most populated area that I've seen during my play time.

How are you finding spanish people if they already have a server for them?

Anyway, I'm staying in Sufokia... Nice counter to the cold weather here :/

English speaking Eu 38% - English speaking Germany +Spain
Non english speaking 26% - Non English speaking Germany + Spain

38 + 26 = 64 ,(100/64) X 38

= 59.375% English speaking
= 40.625% non English speaking

Reason for edit : Later Descovery that American/Canada players were never able to play in Remington

Its a shame most of who I knew went to Nox, if Ankama hadnt of sold it to SquareEnix I could still be playing with them

Sounds like you haven't played the game since January 4th. Amakna is deserted and there's plenty of people in Sufokia, from what I can tell anyway.

I dont know if you actually read something on this thread BEFORE posting, but I already wrote the answer before on this post... But here we go again... Its International server, but SquareEnix has bought the rights for the NA/Canada. Thus means NOX, which is the SquareEnix owned NA/Canada server only accepts players from NA/Canada. The rest of the world can play on International server unless they have their own specific servers such as German's & Spanish community has their. Rest of us is stuck in the International server.

I read before posting, and i didn't see any saying "International server has IP block." or something along that line, only "americans went to nox and others are stuck in remmington"..

But thanks for confirming, now to find out how to proxy.

Other thing that you guys over all are forgetting before this patch you couldn't go to Nox as well... so just don't complain now...

the main reason people are complaining is that ankama divided the english speaking communities, nothing to do with server name, the server itself is irrelevant,

if you are not sure about how it affected remington you can read my previous post and it explains it.
Micro was pointing out that the division between NA and Int has been around far longer than the recent patch. It was done when the NA community was originally created, and when NA got their own server... the division was already in place on the forums/website with a forced IP redirect, and the client was a different one (which had Nox, instead of Remington and Tiva as "visible" servers).

Nothing to do with the name, but the timing... from Ankama's perspective, they have already divided the English community with only minor complaint a year ago.. not "now" when suddenly everyone else is complaining.

And actually, Remington is "English speaking" as that is the international language, useful for communication within a mixed group... but obviously not restricted to "English countries only". Like the forum, you're generally supposed to be speaking English on the server. Enforcement of that rule, etc, is for another thread though.

I don't think they'll extend Nox to the UK (or Australia/New Zealand either). Geographically they're in completely different publishing regions, so different parts of the company would be dealing with the "locals".

oh that makes much more sense now (i just found out myself like 4 minutes before i checked this post lol).
i got confused before because all of a sudden this Nox server was being shown into the game,
So if we were never connected to America / Canada then all of the english speaking players must have been Bi-Lingual players from either Germany or Spain (a Lot of Germans speak very good english) Im guessing that not much other people knew because this Post has been up for a while and none have mentioned it before

remembering it now i did encounter this America/Canada IP block when it was Closed beta, and i got a new key for the EU region but that was quite a long time ago

Request to rename this post:

"Have Most English speaking players Gone to German / Spanish servers?"

I completely agree.

I dont think anyone of the english players actually left Remington to join Nox, they just dont play now. The spanish and germans did leave to their own servers so its gonna look alot less active. But anyone playing about a month ago know the situation is far better now then it was then, before it was literally a ghost town, now at least you can see some players.

I have been playing in Sufokia in Remington server, I only saw one single guy who can't speak english (who says it in english) and it's quite populated. I don't know what is happening in other nations but it shouldn't be that different.

To enjoy this game, you should find a guild or find a good numbers of players to play with indeed. Otherwise you'll feel like you are the only one in the game. It was never fun going solo.

Thanks Knonaut for changing the title ^^ You rock

Btw i just got in contact with my friend from old server, he was stuck on the spanish server and he wanted to join back to remington, maybe this should be an option for all players who got IP restricted to their own countries server , he had asked a Mod to move him over. Maybe there will be enough cases of these and we can get our friends back together again?

I'm English and would like to befriend more English speaking players in Sufokia. Its getting kinda lonely.

My IGN is Lily-Mae (only one L, unlike my username on the forums), feel free to add, whisper, whatever, so we can kick some ass.
