So, why is Nox server no longer accepting connections from non NA players?
Why Even bother restricting them at all? If it was never intended for Nox server to accept international connections why enable them in the first place? How am i supposed to play with my friends in game now? |

Exactly. If someone from England or USA is living in France or Germany he can't play with his friends anymore. This is terrible change. I don't want to play on Remington. It's way too multilanguage and multination server. I want pure english on chat... and that was only on Nox...

yea my NA friends can no longer play this game with me anymore its really kinda destroyed the motivation to play I dont understand why a "International" Server is going to have ANY IP blocks
its called INTERNATIONAL for a reason either change the servers name or unblock the IP because you selling us false information here with the word INTERNATIONAL |

Many people having this problem. I am one of them, even thought I played on Nox yesterday. I wish a moderator or a community manager explain to us what's going on.
On another note, there's already other threads on this topic. It would be wise to keep it to one single thread. We might get some official feedback that way. |

I doubt there will be any official feedback, never seen any. And I agree that theres a problem on Remington. I will not play this game if im forced on that server.

Agreed to both. Threads seem to not be moderated much here, but this should be put together into a single topic and the devs should be made aware of the communities reaction to this change (I wonder how they didn't see this coming...but meh)
I am not going to hope for any oiffical statements whatsoever in this game anymore though. This is more than disappointing. |

I really hope this gets changed, though I personally doubt it.
I'm only playing this game if I can play with my friends on the NA server... Otherwise yeah, bye Wakfu. |

On Nox I was able to play with friends, get a nice guild and lvl up fast with good players... all I have now is Remington...... and 80% of community speaking language I hate. It's not place for someone like me... so give us back Nox please. It may sound racist... but brazilian community is "the worst" for a reason... and even good brazilian players agree with me. So either I can play on Nox or I don't want to play (and later pay) at all.

This is an easy one:
Nox in NA is published by Square-Enix, while you may have been able to play on it while outside NA, this was never intentional, and now Ankama have brought those restrictions directly into the client. Whatever deal Ankama have done with SE probably involves making sure their publishing territories do not overlap in such a way that the two companies are in direct competition over players. "International" is not "everywhere" and never was under Ankama's community definitions. It is a category for those who do not already have a more specific community, such as French, or German, or NA... effectively a "catch all" for everyone not specifically catered for. On another note, Moderators are not "official" employees of Ankama. We are only volunteers from the normal playerbase, so what we know, is what you know. There are no additional sources of information we're automatically included in. |

What on earth is the reasoning behind this? Why would you forbid people to play with certain other people they want to play with?
They are not "catering for" us Germans/French/Spanish players. They are restricting the game for us driving their customers away. This is the worst possible game design decision I have ever seen in my life since there is absolutely nothing positive or rational about this. (The German version of the game is a catastrophe btw. I have no idea why one would force me to use that when the english one is clearly superior) |

ah.. the restriction was already on before the last update... Nox is the server for North American people, the rest of the world have the others servers there is nothing that you can do about it... if it's bad? yeah. can we do something to stop it? no. So just deal with it. I have passing for the same problem before when my guild got empty because of that last year, and i survive so just bread and form a new guild/ char what ever...

Okay then. Sounds like a bad move, but at least I understand that now.

Whatever deal Ankama have done with SE probably involves making sure their publishing territories do not overlap in such a way that the two companies are in direct competition over players. On another note, Moderators are not "official" employees of Ankama. We are only volunteers from the normal playerbase, so what we know, is what you know. There are no additional sources of information we're automatically included in. However, I'm still lost. I live in Puerto Rico and can't log in to Nox. For all intents and purposes this country is US territory, therefore, NA. Could you explain why I can't log in to Nox? |
