The actual beta is just a little part from what is coming up with the official release of the game. Expect lots of places and new monsters that were out in earlier beta versions (like the Boss of the old Larva dungeon, Arachnee Dungeon). I hope there's a wabbit island full of terrible wabbits Dofus Wabbit island is cool but has no content beside Wa Wabbit Dungeon and Cawwot Dungeon x)

i sense another gw player there

well there's 4months for Ankama to work on Wakfu, maybe they have the best hidden, that makes the game worth to pay?
Game balancing sometimes is hard work if dev's start to change the desired role of the classes as they intend to be.

[sorry, about the bad english.]

like the trailer , like the game.
BUT
this game has NO balance, hardly any spells, no way near enough content, and its bugged. and i agree with everyone else. if this game becomes p2p like dofus its as good as dead. dofus is at least worth paying for at least. but making a game that was hated throughout the beta by millions and only liked by a few p2p before even fixing it is ridiculus. i planned on making wakfu one of my main games. but i dont think i will be playing it much anymore. they cant even keep the game in a propper state after an update. EVERYTHING is in code and they dont fix it for days. i'm going to quit this game as of january and MAYBE come back at some stage but only if i am already subscribed thanks to dofus. ankama you are screwing only yourselves with this.

Hey guys c'mon, we're all fans of Ankama Games, especially Wakfu, so if they are telling us that in feb. 2012 the game will be released let's give a shot to Ankama. Let's pray for that without doing any sarcastic comments that doesn't help at all, even if they release the game with one or another bug at least we can play knowing that we won't get a wipe and they can fix this while launch new updates

There's being a blind idiot, and there's being a fan.

I have a very hard time believing that even Ankama think a Feb 2012 release date isn't going to be anything more than a rushed release.

That's 4 months away. At their current rate of progression it'll take them that long to release the last class, let alone balance it... and even then they have no high level content, undeveloped PvP, little motivation for any character development beyond Pavlovian responses like "achievements" and levelling.

I can honestly say I think they would've been better off dumping the whole project when they re-re-released it for the 3rd time. Stuff like Wakfu: the guardians, Gobbowl, Islands of Wakfu, and the cartoon have done much more for the company in my eyes than this every has.

We may very well avoid wipes after release... but those wipes were there for a reason, and this may very well force us all to live with persisting bugs forever.

... and that's ignoring the fact Int still has no CCM. As much as I appreciate the foreign CCMs stepping in, and the ambassador, it really needs a "dedicated" arrangement (as we can see, this news has been posted twice apparently).

Is it going to be P2P? is it officially announced yet? well Ankama you still have 3-4 month to reconsider this game to be F2P, seriously this game is good it has a good concept, nice story&background, but it won't be good as P2P game especially periodic basis..

I know that developing a good game is expensive and oc you want to make profits, but if you make this game into P2P, i bet more than half of the player existing now will quit this game.. i guess you should try another ways of getting profit instead making this game P2P..

few things that sustain MMORPG are the players, community and updates, if you guys pushing this game to be P2P, lots of people will quit, and since this is sandbox type the gameplay is going to be boring as hell without sufficient resources (because not enough player to supply and buying things)

maybe you'll have some "willing to pay" player for a few months, but it won't last long.. just imagine you have to collect all resources you need - create your own weapon - hunting by yourself - making some items, try to sell it but no one buying it..

Ankama Team (Wakfu) has done a lots of efforts to create this game, don't ruin it for P2P..

Umm adding some other thing :
- Tactical MMORPG is niche, it's not most people choice game to play.. only a few, including me from millions gamers out there who likes this genre..
the point is even this is going to be F2P i guessed it'll only have "less than enough" (my point of view) player to make a good community, and if it's going to be P2P, it's dead with "more" less people playing it..

- Sandbox type game usually takes a lot of time to learn and takes time to create a good character, if you're gonna put this game into P2P, i bet some people will quit this game before they can actually enjoying this game and run into another MMORPG game..

- MMORPG competition is tough, lots of good quality games will be released in 2012, and some are F2P, i doubt Wakfu able to survive in P2P competition with lots of bug, less content, poor balance, etc (sorry i only tell you guys the truth)

Agreed

Sometimes I feel like Ankama is trying to bite off more it can chew. Instead of developing multiple games at the same time (a thing that even the big companies in the industry have trouble with), why don't they just stop with it, and focus all their resources on one game? My guess is that the developers are not really fondle to the concept of "Quality over quantity" thing...

Judging by the passing Ankama have done the game till now, there's no way the game will be complete at 22th February. They have 3 more classes to release, and after that balance the classes for endgame content that doesn't exist yet. Even if they are thinking "Oh, we gonna wipe when the game release, we think of endgame while the players are leveling up again", that does not fix the fact that the endgame content will be released on the official game with no test period at all and will most likely be horrible to play till multiple balance patches are released.

I bet my money on a rushed release, my guess is that they're already planning to announce ANOTHER class on the next weeks (ignoring the fact the the already running classes are imbalaced and deviating from their purpose), and will keep this passing till the game is finished, ending up in a incomplete mess of a game on release.
