god with every update it gets harder and harder like they removed xelors spell judgement hour the name was i think if this keeps up i dont think i will play wakfu any longer
or maybe they should just make the hardest already like troll set gives 1 procent earth power and resist you have to reach lvl 100 just to disturb 1 action point and make the inventory 1 slot. well atleast people would stop playing this game at once and not quiting this game every update |

About the achievements, I don't care if they get reset or not. It is still a beta, which means we have to test, it's not the full game yet. Sure you can enjoy playing, just don't get to attached to your characters.

About the achievement thing..... I sense a server wipe when they get out of beta, so (in theory) there is no point in maining a character (as in, no point in getting to attached) =/
The thing is that I don't think they will stop adding updates even when the game is officially released and people start paying for it. And if they ever want to make changes to achievements when that happens, they will need to figure out a way to re-calculate whether a character has already achieved something or not.
That is my view over what they are doing, no need to agree with me I can understand that it's tricky to re-calculate something new that was never even counted before (like, how many times you have talked to a certain Clan Member, if that would ever be interesting), but if they once knew you'd killed 1000 wodents then they should be able to still know you have killed them. And if they know you are level 43 farmer then the achievement should know that you are over level 30 and let you get the reward. It would be best if they even knew what rewards you have already received, so that you don't get the same title added to the list every time there's a new patch. woah woah woah, hold it now, they are gonna make wakfu p2p????? also, yeah, i get ur point, but i think that, since they wipe characters, they cant save the achieves as well =/ This post has been edited by Hezylus - October 30, 2011, 12:17:54. it was always going to be P2P. It was announced as a subscription-based game literally years ago (for example, the Wakfu FAQ from 2008 said the game would be subscription-based). It shouldn't be a shock now.
And Zidrune has said several times that the game will be wiped when it goes live, so don't worry about achievements you can't get. Just play to have fun and look for bugs, and don't focus on trying to be "THE BEST". I've been creating and deleting characters willy-nilly just to try all the classes, since I know none of them are permanent. |
