Hordes Challenges Shouldn't they change it to say "Stay away from this area for X mins."

Does anyone actually do these challenges?

There's a lack of reward involved with them, I think. Most hordes are ignored entirely. Whisperer Hordes, however, were quite sought after when they came out because everyone wanted Khiel's Aegis.

I heard the xp isn't any better for doing them or something? I would think it should be since you typically need a group to do so and it takes a lot longer.

For leeching a new player up to about level 80 they are great.

Some really neat items for the level, off Hordes. Orange rarity, too, so good rune fodder.
Also some nice exp for anyone who helped once the hordes are cleared away. It's a great way to get exp as a nub.

Stay away if you want. More riches and exp. for those who have the time and strength.

Based off your replies it promotes leeching which isn't good either.

Like I said I heard the XP wasn't any better. I am new back to Wakfu recently though and semi new to the new challenge system. As a solo player though it does suck.

The xp is not worth it for the time spent. You can earn alot more xp if you just complete 10 minute challenges and kill mobs in between. As for the drops, unless it's something really rare and expensive then it's not worth wasting your time on something that might or might not drop when you can just mine and make sure you get it by buying it. Maybe at level 80 or 90 areas it's worth it but almost every set up untill level 70ish costs 20kk at most so i don't see the point. When i see one of these challenges i know it's time to move out.

yeah the normal challenges are muuuuch better for XP. Probably even OP. Hordes used to be awesome for stacking up a ton of bronze tokens to buy wisdom cookies with. Now they just seem to lock out the normal challenges and get ignored most of the time.

IMO could use some tweaking. They're looking pretty weak after the token disaster...unless you're after a dom drop.

BTW wth tokens tokens dungeon tokens wth wth /rant

So Dominants have special drops? Will have to check them out.

I think raising the XP might make it worth it. Too bad they can't have solo challenges along with hordes so it doesn't exclude people not in group.

Similar topic has been created in 'suggestions' a bit earlier.
I've said pretty much in that topic, now just want to agree that we're bored of hordes as they are atm.
-Make it appear as a separate event
-Give more interesting drops
-More xp rewards, since it's a very time-consuming thing.

The dominant monsters do have special drops. Some are nice for the level.

If I am farming for a specific, normal, drop I like to attack hordes, simply because they are always a large group of a specific monster. crocage daggers? toad hordes Boosters/Boostrons? mushid hordes. Celestial tofu or celestial stritch keys? tofu or stritch hordes. (I no of no other spawn that has three tofurbies or three thingamastritches, that is three chances to pouch an additional key. The orange equip, and the exp are bonuses.)

It's long and tedious for the higher level mobs, so just like you say, I stay away from them since I solo mostly. I usually "island hop" when this happens and go find other challenges on other islands that are much quicker.

As a low level it really sucks since you are limited on the amount of areas you can do challenges in. With 1 or 2 of them being hordes you more less can't do any.
