Season 2: Awful Stuff, Who else is disappointed with the new season's many flaws?
posté December 23, 2011, 19:51:45 | #1
Season 2: Awful Stuff Sign here if you think Season 2 has been a pretty big, confused, perverse, if pretty looking successor to Season 1:

No clear villain or direction (Qilby's waited a bit too long for those who didn't play IoW).
Little to no character development for anyone who isn't Eva or Grovy.
Wholesale Re-hashes of Season 1 Filler Plots
Uninteresting reuses of old villains and plot elements
Terrible uses for new characters such as Remington (all he does is steal a sword and pull a switch for all the hype they gave him)

I could go on.

Pretty big disappointment. I know it isn't over, but overall, no matter how good the finale will be, Season 2 will be inferior to Season 1.

SPOILER ALERT.

I actually had fun watching both seasons and I don't think season 2 is that awful. The only things I can complain of is the huge amout of filler episodes and how they danced around the finding Shinonome dofus issue for at least more than 10 eps. The action is still good (or even better than season 1) and I love those EvenxxTristepin moments. And Adamai's tranformation is frickin' awesome. How can we miss that? I actually like Quilby as the main villain and I think ss2's main issue is way more serious than ss1.

Maybe it's not that touching as story of Noximillien, but truth is that very continuations of many series reached more than first one. Maybe it's because I could lay my hands on season 2 in a moment once I finished 1, as I wasn't sucked into wakfu long time ago, but I seriously can't sit in one place waiting for next season to pop out.

Spoiler: (highlight to show)
..Papa?!Not like I'm really surprised but..
I think I got bound to characters even more.

I was honestly just as touched by Qilby's end as by Nox's. In the end, they are both to be pitied for their motivations and/or what became of them. They were both giggling maniacs at their top, but in the face of their defeat, they turned into these weak, little creatures, crying over their realizations. All right, too much filler, but the final episodes of season two were just as epic as these of season 1.
At the moment, I won't say no to a third season.

Can't wait for them to make Season 3, if they're making one that is.

Spoiler: (highlight to show)
Watched last episode. Don't even know if I should be happy that Qilby got his butt handed to him or should I feel sad for him instead now. DARN YOU ANKAMA, ALWAYS MAKING THE VILLAIN LIKE THIS QQ.

Need more Joris though. QQ. Ah well, 2014.

Nyeheh~

Eh?why the french television would even think to refuse more series since Wakfu got a very big success?I really hope they will make more series, and fast. One thing i dont get it,did Rushu and Goultard they just went into the shushu's dimension and now they are traped forever there but i wonder if they will ever be released from there? And i want Ankama do something with Remington, cuz i dont see him have a future in the series, just a poor normal vilain.Atm i just want 4 main things to see:
-Yugo's family
-Battle with Ogrest(Yugo, and posibly Nox,we're the only one who saw him in the series in their final battle)
-Posibly a fight with the Mechasms
-Revealing the rest of the 10 leaders of the Eliatrope's world, till now we know that are:Yugo,Adamai,Grougaloragran, maybe Phaeris,Qilby, that old dragon from that dimension where Yugo and Qilby do their final battle(i think he was named Baltazar),and Qilby's sister(the one from the red egg if i dont mistake,Shinonome),and like 3-4 more must be revealed.

You can discover some more of the dragons/eliatropes through the islands of wakfu actually

You see the character Nora's shadow when Quilby tells Yugo a little about his past. You also get to know a lot of other characters in the eliatrope family, aswell with the "wakfu lore" so to say

Not gonna lie, I loved season two...

Qilby... wow. Sucks to be you, buddy. I mean, I know he was dangerous, but sealing him back in the dimension of nothing was pretty harsh... it probably would have been kinder to just kill the guy and keep him in his dofus.
Anyway, I loved his character- one thing I'll say for Ankama, they seem to be the gods of making tragic villains.
(Poor Qilby... ;_; )

Also, I hear that season three is in the tubes, so we can look forward to that when they get around to it...

I quite liked season 2, it wasn't as good as the first season but I still liked it. I felt Nox was a far better developed villain, but I still liked Qilby especially the design of his character when he fused with the Elia cube!

I also liked the dungeon crawler episodes, I really liked that in those instances Tristepin really was the most knowledgeable and they still disregarded his advice becasuse he's an Iop.

Also is it just me or does Tristepin actually say the smartest things sometimes?

I can't wait for a season 3 if it goes through! I want to see more of Gultard personally.
Could do without any more boufbowl episodes though. I also hope we get to see more Remmington.
