Well, they recently had an officially dubbed version of ep1&2 at a convention in London, UK.

I had the chance to watch the first episode of it.

How was it? I've watched all of them in french and it's just amazing. Half the series is in the voice acting. I sure hope they got good VAs for the English.

I have a really bad feeling that 4kids is going to pick it up here in america and destroy the show. Oh our dear Wakfu. Whatever shall we do?

The english version is controlled and done by Ankama themselves, that's what I heard and this is a pretty good thing.

Yugo: His voice is like the french one but more annoying. behhh...
Ruel: What a big voice he has! That was really unexpected.
Nox: Normal voice, not as crazy as the French version.
Sadlyglove, Amalia, Evangelyne: They didn't have a lot to say in the first episode so I can't really remember their voices.
Alibert: I think it kinda suited him.

The translation of the original script was pretty much spot on.

I prefer the French version for now. I will have to see the rest of the english episodes for a better judgement.

oh no, not Yugo. He's my favorite.
When you say "more annoying...." could you give me some examples on why you dislike it? I was afraid this would happen. I'm imagining a woman in her 20s trying to sound like a little boy. Dubs always make me nervous. You have no clue what their going to screw up.

whew! I'm glad that the english is being closely watched over and cared for though.

I remember his voice clear in my head. He sounds like your typical pre-teen brat. That's all I can say.

Actually the french voice of Yugo is loads better. :/

I made a mistake when I said its same, cuz it's not.

just got done watching the first 2 episodes i found them in an unknown location that i cant speak of on the forums but the english voice acting was not vary good id prefer english subs but we can only hope this was just a test of voices or somthing hopfully they get different actors sadly grove sound super canadian and they all sound like there speaking way to fast it doesnt seem natural it reminds me of speed racer (voice acting wise) they need to have people with english first language (born with english) to do the acting.

....You do realize most voice actors for "young boy" characters are females that are actually old enough to work? Disney and Nickelodeon's Avatar are raritis where the voices are done by young boys.
The cast of Rugrats was almost entirely women in their 30s.
Honestly the french VA for Yugo sounds like a girl.

I agree with you. I'd rather watch the episodes in french with english subs.

Er, I don't believe those are official subs any more than the Wakfu ones... certainly not for the majority of animes (I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt, but I know of 0 animes which have official subs produced that fast).

full metal alchemist brotherhood is official subbed fairly quickly. Nowhere near as fast as fansub, but it is a welcome change from *willy wonka* YOU GET NOTHING! YOU LOSE! GOOD DAY SIR!

I hope Ankama takes action. I need more wakfu.
*sits in the corner and giggles to himself quietly*

well bleach, naruto, full metal alchemist brotherhood, one piece, i can go on. all the official subs come out exactly one week later and fan subs are even faster naruto comes out same day lol

I do realise this thread has been made more than a year ago...but are there any news on official English sub episodes? I try to never watch dubs anyways since I believe that voice acting is a major part of an animation/game/movie/so on. And I do understand most of the French in the series, it's not too complex except for a few puns. However the animation is sold on the French Ankama shop and not in the English, of course, without English subs.

Are there any plans for it to ever be available to buy with English subs?
