I did exactly that, y=83% of not rolling for a role, which means 17% to roll... x3 = 51%, something is wrong, but whatever, we get the point :p

You're wrong talzon, you have 2 dices, you're making you calculus with just 1. You have to make combinations.

As the review above, yes it's not balanced and it should be fixed asap. I would love to play Earth eca, but fire one seems better at this time (+range, no deadly luck, tree, etc)...
All branches should be good, in terms of damage, but the water one, who would rely on sucking HP to be at pair with other branches.

That's what I'm saying, the luck is not worth the risk... and it seems that penalizations are bigger than rewards... and they should be equal, not like this.

It could be placebo effect, but yes, I realised that bad card appear mostly then some dice values, even if the chances are way lower.
I'm not sure, but Fire build seems good with the Cat Tree, since 50% + 1% with winning streak even if you get like 30, you'll be very well succeed with 80%.
But Earth build also seems nice with the tarot stuff... more risky, but also more rewarded.
Anyway, Eca needs a buff on the positive effects of the cards, and some spell. Iops do as much damage as an eca even without the luck factor... in fact, it should be like this: If a eca is lucky, it should be have a high reward, if we're talking about damage, it should be above, a any other class (if the base damage stays like the present, a crap), if we're talking about buffs, it should be above average, since it's luck and it shall be rewarded, and there's also the bad luck factor.
But no, even iops without any luck, can do a uber damage and uber skills.

Quote (Higure @ 05 March 2012 23:37) So, I was making an eca and decided to check the spells at lvl 100, and some spells are just plain crap.
First, "Craps" spell (fire type), if you hit a 7, you will do decent damage. If not, you'll be hitting like a baby.
Lot's let's do some math:
To a 7 you need to get x= (1,6 ; 2,5 ; 3;4) x2 and for the rest y= 100 - x
Now to calculate x, you do (1/6x1/6)x2 + (1/6x1/6)x2 + (1/6x1/6)x2 = 0.1666 or 17%
And y=83%
Now, this is the % for 1 attack per turn, let's do 3: We do 17/300 and we get around 5% of getting a 7 in 3 attacks. (I think this step is made like this, correct me if I'm wrong)
For each craps, there is a 1 out of 6 chance of rolling for a total of 7.
Every possible outcome on the first die roll has a counterpart on the second die roll that would result in a total of 7.
If you did 3 craps in one turn, then you have 3 chances to get a 7.
Three 1/6 chances.
A 3/6 chance to get one 7.
Not a 5% chance.
All-in accounts for earth elemental damage.
Three Cards heals the opponent on the heal card. Not the Ecaflip. (Stupid misleading description. I know.)
That said, I believe Heads or Tails needs a damage buff as the damage per AP is less than All-in at level 100.
22 to 44 damage averages out at 33 per hit which is 11 per ap.
And *All-In* is, quite simply, 13 damage per ap at level 100.
Easily better and less risky than Heads or Tails.
Yes I thought that way too, since it would be 17/100 x 3, but it would give around 51% with seems too much, and the odds in game are really low (only got like 5 times a 7 in the game, using that spell more than 100 times)

Eca, a lucky class, or a VERY lucky class?
So, I was making an eca and decided to check the spells at lvl 100, and some spells are just plain crap.
First, "Craps" spell (fire type), if you hit a 7, you will do decent damage. If not, you'll be hitting like a baby.

17% is a very low %, and makes this attack useless to play. Fix this ankama, eca is about 50% - 50%, not Lottery play like this. And even if you let the 5%, at least make the attack base damage deal like 150 or more at lvl 100 to worth the risk.
Another spell, earth branch this time, which makes you deal -13HP per AP not used, with a 5% chance to double it per AP... What's the point of this spell? It's not an earth attack, it's simply 13 neutral damage, that can't be boost (unless I'm wrong)... even if you use 8 AP, your chance of doubling it will be 0.4 or 40%, since it's 5% per AP, but yet, you would not make more than 208 HP of damage. WHAT BULLCRAP IS THIS? That's the damage of a iop at lv50, without spells fully lvled!
For last, the last earth spell, 3 cards. First it has a bug that if you are adjacent to someone or something, it won't drop the 3 cards. Second, 1 Wakfu point? Are you kidding me? It doesn't do more than 74 damage at lv100 (again, since ecas are luck warriors, they should be at pair with iops, by not much, but not by this less), and the cards are a plain crap. -25% resist? Is it worth the 1AP for that turn or the 19HP healed and the Wakfu wasted + 6AP? Give me a break ANKAMA! Oh and the critical hit? Instead of drawing 2 cards with heal and AP, it does draw for -resist and AP, ankama fails again!
Who are those devs anyway? Do they know anything about the gameplay? What's going on? This company sucks! Even the other spells, it's not about luck (unless the active ones)! It's like playing the lottery, and even if you win, your reward is a crap!
This, is a iop game, for kiddos who can't think but click 1-2-3 and deal large amounts of damage... oh and call themselves pros!

Quote (DashxAngel @ 05 March 2012 20:03) Pointing at people and laugh while ignoring the arguments. Yeah, that is really mature and useful for the discussion.
Let me give you an analogy, maybe you will understand.
Imagine you go to McDonalds or some place and orden an hamburger. When you receive it and open it, you realize they didnt give you any bread, only the cooked meat and when you ask them about it they tell you that buns are benig sold separately. You flip at them and while you are doing so some guy comes and buys it saying "What, you are too poor to buy bread after already paying for the hamburger?". People keep going and buying an unfinished product and paying extra for something that is supposed to come with it to begin with. One week later you go back, but this time they give you the meat RAW, and they are charging even MORE to cook the freaking meat after you bought, and when you complain some guy comes in and pays like 100$ to buy a full hamburger, and he looks at you saying "What, too poor to buy a hamburger?"
In case you didnt get the comparison, the guy who complains are the ones complaining that they are adding a cash shop to a game that is ALREADY subscription based (remembe,r subscription based means that eventually people will need to renew their subscription, so there is a steady income even if no new players get into the game as long the maintain the player base) and the guy that keeps coming in buying stuff, that is YOU. The moral is that if a company has a stupid idea like that, if there is people dumb enough to keep on buying then the company will keep taking it a step further and further because they KNOW they will have players to milk the money from. Right now it is pretty obvious they dont care about the quality of the game anymore, they just are trying to add as many ways to get money from players and the game was just released.
Now, did anythying of that get trough your thick skull or are you gonna say "lol skip a meal and buy it hurr durf nyehehehehe" again without trying to understand the problem.
Ankama has TERRIBLE customer support, they have made no effort to help people with problems, while spending all their time on advertising pets, presubscription, stores that are the exact opposite of they promised. The only thing they have made that is even close to listening to us was hiring Troyle, after release, which i feel was more like their way to push someone in front of us so we complained at him instead of at them. No offense Troyle, i might be wrong but thats how it felt since your appearance was the only thing in several months they have made to have contact with us, and before you we had the embassador but there werent many official threads during the last period of the beta, only some threads by Masha that seemed to be copy paste translations of the next big thing (no offence to Masha either, i know she is the ccm of the german community and im thankful for her effort at helping us)
/thread
This says it all... god ankama is falling for the crap so bad.

You're confusing the idea here... We're talking about a whole account bank, where character X can pick character Y stuff if it is in the account bank... Heaven bags are per character, if I'm not wrong.

Quote (Terakashi @ 05 March 2012 16:35) I don't get why people are crying that much.
I too hate the "pay 2 win" method. But look: While most is for look only, the makabras are tradeable.
You don't have to pay 5 bucks for makabras, you can just buy them from other players.
They won't be that expensive after a time. And again, you can get those boni only if you are level 100 yourself. So no crying for me
This
"selling items acquired with real world currency is equal to acquire in-game currency through real world currency as a source, it DOES violates the essence of gaming."
and this
"they are having this advantage (less effort required) because they paid extra real world money for it."
Agreed, it's not a matter if the weapons are the same in game or not... if you want to make a P2P game, don't ever put a cash shop...
F2P but with cash shop? It's fine, but both, never!

But is the bank for the account or the character? And where is it? I haven't found it yet!

Indeed, I'm thinking about quit this, too bad I bought 3 months already... The concept is very nice I agree, but if I was alone or new to the game (I've luckily met some guildies from Dofus) I couldn't exchange nothing between characters from the same account... Even if dropping, you need to to be P2P to pick it up, I mean what the F*ck is this bullcrap? F2P are a major pillar in economy, in every game (unless it has a very high population)... they buy low lvl equips from low lvl profession, so it's a nice income for someone who isn't rich and wants to lvl a bit... They also provide nice resources for jobs, scrolls, magic stones, etc etc They are important.
Ankama wants to make this game a new WoW, only P2P, too bad it sucks BIG TIME! No quests, NPCs look all the same, no memorable achievements or NPCs, this game is worst than runescape in the early stages, and I've always played it free, so this is really problematic! Oh and add the cash shop to that with OP weapons, and you have the biggest pile of crap ever seen.
The point of a full P2P game is that there won't be many botters and hackers, etc, but for that kind of game level, there is a need of a great game... have you seen this? The dungeons (if you can call it like that)? It's just a bunch of the same mobs except for one! Where's the challenge? Where's the fun? It's grind grind grind, it's bullcrap. Not even a puzzle, nothing!
This really let me down, but I don't blame ankama, I blame the Devs of the this game, since ankama has many branches, not only this 2 games. Shame on you, even I could do a better job in less time and less resources than your whole team together.

Am I missing something?
Is it just me or this is a totally crap in terms of item storage? No bank per account, nor inter-exchange between characters in the same account? What the hell is this? And even if I make an alt account, I can't exchange with f2p? Screw this, why so many restrictions? Even in low lvl dungeons groups, why only P2P or F2P groups? What the hell is going on? This is a rip off!

Quote (Cronqvyst @ 03 March 2012 04:56)
Quote advantage over another player really? its more like disadvantage... You think it's more like an disadvantage because... ????
Also:
Quote Batte Tsar Galaktika : (A level 70 weapon)
+ 55 max HP
+ 3% CH
+ 18% damage
Attack : -29 HP
Critical : -43 HP
One of the makabras at level 70:
+ 52 max hp
+ 7 Initiative
+ 14% heals
+ 1 range
Attack : -29 HP
Critical : -43 HP its a disadvantage because it requires you to equip it to level it. and it levels slower than you,
and if you think that when the economy adapts that there will be level 100 players running about without the best equipment possible on your wrong. it takes like months to get a player higher level. and to get these weapons to level 70 would take you to level 84. when you could be using much better items in place of it.
these items are trade-able therefore high level players will have them whether they pay or not. players who spend ogrines on it basically just inject it into the economy.
You're missing the entire point... again, you should read what the topic is about and stop making you look like a fool, doesn't matter if it takes a year to lvl it, it's still a cash shop with OP weapons...

Just leave while you can... unless you want to waste a subscription fee for no content (I'm P2P, bad mistake) and if you want to be any good in PvP another 20 euros per month in OP weapons.

Actually Team Fortress 2 is a good example, free, and makes more profit than this game it self. First it was a Pay one time game (not bad), then with the cosmetic hats and items, it started a huge profit, without ruining the gameplay, since you can obtain them via trading or just playing the game... this is a total whole new lvl, just a sucking money machine... and yes, there are games that care for their community like the said above... This one just seems to make fake excuses to their goals.

Troyle, it's the same thing! The game is ruined just the fact that you a "noob" can come into the game and get in 10 minutes what people have being grinding for weeks! It's the concept of PAY TO WIN, nothing changes, it's a crap, and it will always be unfair.
Why the P2P then? If you waste the P2P time farming and grinding, while you could expend it on OP weapons for the same lvl? Give me a break...
I do agree boutique weapons should be less powerful, that would make lazy players suffer, and reward good ones.
