I'm sure these spells were taken from the enemy version of the Foggernauts so we can't be certain they will ALL be in the player created versions. Also some of these spells will clearly not be that strong at that particular level. So balancing aside, at least we have an idea of what they can do especially if we've never fought them... So yay!

The fact that Ogrines expire is one of the WORST features of the Wakfu system to date in my opinion. I had them put down on multiple accounts in preparation for the rebalancing because it seemed like a good time to re-subscribe. So I waited it out. I however received nosuch email about ogrines expiring. I only noticed they were gone when I logged it post-patch to subscribe and buy items at the boutique... NOTHING. Thinking it was a glitch I was about to rush in and scream "Bloody Murder" as I must have clearly been robbed. But no... That wasn't the case. Ogrines Expire. And it took me a while on the forums to know that this is what happens to them. I would have spent them off on Boutique items or subscribed and enjoyed their waning time... But no notification when buying them that says something like "These Ogrines will only last for X amount of days. Use them up before then!"... No wonder less and less people are playing this game now.

What I can tell you however is that despite what most people think, the population of Remington IS NOT decreasing.

Please clearly define the word "population" in this context... else this information is just superfluous and misleading.

The number of accounts is going up. Nobody will ever doubt that. Most people don't delete their accounts when they stop playing. If you define "population" by the number of accounts Ankama could actually argue that the population is increasing... it's just the activity of a large number of accounts that dwindles.

The magic word is "activity"... it's not about the number of characters created on a server or the number of accounts created.

What's much more reliable than this kind of information (without logs, activity statistics, analysis) is everyone's personal feel. Trust in what you actually experience. Not to be rude, but that's much more reliable than a Community Manager's word about the "population" not decreasing. Whatever this mysterious "population" might be... (Subscribed accounts? Number of accounts in general? Number of characters created? Number of people that log in once a month after a patch hits the servers? Number of people that play once a week? Number of people that play a few minutes per day to feed their pets?)

We can't deduce anything from this kind of information. It's heavily flawed information policy unless we get a clearly cut definition of what Ankama considers to be "population"...
^ This

The word 'population' is a vague term, and what we clearly want to know is how many ACTIVE players there are on Remington at any give time or some way to track user statistics. I know you can't say for sure Troyle, but anyone who has been playing for a length of time can see that the active users HAVE clearly been decreasing. Even over the summer when you would expect the brunt of persons to be whittling away the hours on games. It doesn't take a genius to know that compared to be beta or even the launch, more accounts have been made (As persons may want to test the game, or some persons want more than 5 slots and are in need of Alts and so make alts). However more accounts made does not equal to overall server activity. A friend of mine made 3 separate accounts just so that she could have one of each class. Then, she promptly stopped playing soon after reaching astrub with all the classes and deleted the game. That's 3 new accounts registered with no planned future play or activity. Many MMORPGs are proud to outline their daily usage statistics... But WAKFU? Nope. So is this why your Ankama Overlords fear giving out the information, Troyle? In fear that it will make them look worse than we can already see? Let us have SOME answers here Troyle.

You suppose to clean bugs with this patch, no to create new ones!

You forget the golden law of updates and patches:
"Take old bugs out, put new bugs in."

Also, seems like after taking some actions, like after a fight, character stays in fighting stance.
Not that I'm complaining, I like Osamodas fighting stance, and it doesn't seem to affect gameplay at all.
Just a minor glitch, nothing to worry about.

This also happened with my Xelor recently... I felt so cool flying about the place.

Customizations! Titles! The little things that matter! We need more! Customizations are fairly limited, but the game should allow for a customization in a custom, aesthetic build for your in a fashion similar to DC Universe Online. In that sense there are MANY customizations, but you can choose to hide/show the ones that you want. That way the actual character design and hair colour becomes slightly more relevant and your outfit doesn't INSTANTLY give away you character build, allowing for more surprisingly PVP combat as a person could seem to be wearing a Kapow set (Earth Set With a Leaf on their Head) but Actually be a full fledged Fire elemental, They just wear it because they like the look..
As it is titles in the game are... Alright. But we could use some more unlocked through class specific challenges.
For example: An earth Iop uses the spell 'Devastate' 100 times, Should unlock a title such as the Devastator, or uses Jump 100 Times should unlock a title named "The Frog". Even a Sacrier who's used Burning Blood 100 times could unlock a title such as "The Pyromaniac" although that's more in line with the hoodlums. Or A Xelor who used the Aging spell 100 times should unlock a title known as "The Ageless"... Etc. You could even get the community to help name them!

Also We could use more hoodlums again. They've become vastly irrelevant over the months but with the new spell system their gear may be more sought after to make up spell level deficits... But there is no hoodlums for many classes, and no Ultra-High Level Hoodlums for better, non-set, gear.

Hopefully those are implemented someday and the ShuShu Rush Dungeons from the Beta days make a triumphant return soon.

*Tips Hat*
That's my two cents!

Thank you for taking the time to help me with your well thought out response, PapaBear. I can only wish that others will follow your example, and perhaps even provide a little more detail if I'm very lucky. I have already installed both games, but I can't get Dofus working, which is another matter entirely and I'm dealing with that on the Dofus forums.

Also, thanks DrPunk. You listed 'less classes' in both games, but I'm going to assume you meant that Wakfu has more classes since that is something I've gathered on my own. Condescending sarcasm aside, I do appreciate the time you've taken to list those differences for me—it has helped.
Actually my good sir, he meant Wakfu has less classes. They are about equal but Wakfu is missing a class known as the Masqueraiders that is currently in Dofus and Dofus seems to be getting a new class know as the Foggernaughts long before Wakfu will.

THEN they suddenly decide to overhaul a system that was fine... But without any major detail? This is not some minor part of the game... It's a core element. People NEED more info than that. I know you're only telling us what you're told, I'm just mostly disappointed at how little Ankama tells you on key topics that are vital to the whole basis of the game.

Maybe you missed this part:

However, as it was said, the new system is still under development, which means that anything we announce today could change tomorrow. As soon as the system is clearly defined, the developers will come back with a more detailed explanation.

I must say Troyle, I've never been more disappointed in Ankama than I've been in recent times. But I'm certain that they will soon top themselves once more soon enough. They keep announcing and piling on new content without fixing the old ones, and every time "new content" is added there's server shutdown every other day for two weeks JUST to fix things that the latest patch breaks. They need to stop being so hasty and have it tested in full on a private server for a while before greedily just rushing it out to satisfy the people. Because they've even announced a new class, the Foggernaught, and then they're is no news on the Masqueraiders and many classes still screaming for glitch fixes. You can't Keep piling content on to a shaky foundation. Unless you make sure the foundation is firm, the Enterpise WILL crumble. I can't deal with a patch that is mostly irrelevant to me, with content that I probably won't visit in my subscription period, suddenly breaking 3 passives, and a support spell on my main class and causing glitches. A different spell system can spell the life or death of this game. I'm just unsure how this "Imbalance" will suddenly be corrected by a new spell system, how did they not spot this imbalance when creating the spell system in the first place... what exactly is the imbalance, and with so many glitches already existing, do we have to bear through many patches the second the update drops? Because I fear getting resubscribed and then having broken classes and frequent server shutdowns directly following a patch, fixing what the new patch will break, and messing with my playtime.

Which god will they worship?
Rogue worships Sram
Masqarader worships Sadida(I think)

Someone said they will be under Feca, but that's weird (Eliatropes are already fecas, their machinery-cyborgism hints at Xelor if you ask me)
Can someone explain me where you guys get that informations that Rogues worships Sram, Masqueraiders worships Sadida and Eliatropes Feca? Or is this purely because they look alike?

I don't remember where, but it is said that the Rogue doesn't fully worship the Sram god, they actually pledge a sort of fealty to them because they embody a particular aspect of the god's power. (The backstabbing, sneaking nature with the ability to make a quick escape maybe?) Same with the Masqueraiders and the Sadida god (Like the little Masqueraider Joris in the Sadida Kingdom in the show)
In that case, they don't receive the full blessing of the god, but are still magically gifted.

Eliatrophes however are foreign to the world of 12. (Count the 12 classes minus the Masques and Rogues and you have all the world of 12's native twelve gods) They are NOT Feca worshippers. They just worked with Fecas to create the Zaaps and whatnot I suppose. They are born eliatropes, with their dragon brothers in an eternal cycle, not by becoming followers and devoting themselves to a particular god like the rest of the world of 12. This raises questions about the supposed "Goddess Eliatrophe" that is mentioned in game, but it was probably just a powerful, stray female eliatrope that made her way to the world of 12 before the exodus of the rest of the population. The show doesn't particularly explain it in any detail.

All the same the steamer (pilots) would possibly be pleading fealty to the Feca god if a relation must be made as they would embody the march of technology more than then Xelors, I suppose.

If you can't out damage eni's heal.
I guess you are doing it wrong.
THIS!

I dunno why you seem to be having such a hard time using an iop. Particularly a fire/air build. Goodness gracious. You must be fighting some pros.

But losing to Srams AFTER their superpower beta days? Seems to be a lack of strategy you your part Cestiia...

The answer to beating any Sram? Find a nice, quiet corner... and turn your back to it. The Sram has to hit you close range anyhow. Why not force him to come to you whilst you move Left and right and spam Impact? I've never really had trouble with them... But then again... Different builds. Would be harder for a Fire Iop. You would only need to hit him once to reveal him though... so yeah.

Some points in HP would help virility make you survivable but Iops won't typically be "Sacrier-Sturdy", They'll just hit really hard. All those points in crit... I would go for more Intelligence if you want straight up more damage... But hey man... Your build, your rules.

Also... No class can beat a cra at range and maybe only cras, some xelors and sacriers with maxed attraction and lightspeed ready can keep up with them. So the cra beating an Iop? Expected. But for you to be losing at close range? You might need to reconsider that build, friend. There's nothing wrong with Iops that warrant a buff. You can't expect the powerhouse class to have all the tact and strategy and MORE buffs? Compulsion at max give a free plus 40% to ALL elements, no sweat. Power and preparation should more help you crush those who oppose you.

Burning through 2 WP in a turn with Wrath and UC is alright but obviously you need to reconsider your stats if you're getting beaten that badly. I suppose they know the strategy to keep up with / to beat an Iop. Stay away. All you need to do is work on keeping them closer of closing the gap with Super Iop punch more. I use that and Charge more than I actually walk and gaps are closed SWIFTLY without using WP that could be spent on damage..

Power to the people!

Cestia- I just hit 100 on my Iop and started pvping and I can just say that I am pretty disappointed with the class overall. - First off, Iop in most cases needs to stand right next to the target to do damage. This is fine and it is what I signed up for (a melee class). The issue is every other ranged class can do the same if not more damage from 7 cells away. As a melee class with NO mobility Iop should be doing twice as much damage as ranged classes because half the time the enemy is porting around or out of range. - Lock is useless. Once I do get into melee range my target slips away next turn by teleporting or pushing me away. Lock should affect both teleport and cell movement abilities. - Status effects and tons of damage. This is particularly aimed at Xelors. Xelor get tons of damage as well as status effects that proc near 100% of the time (in fact I never see them not proc). As an Iop the only ability with a half decent proc rate is Iop's Wrath. Everything else that is half useful ie. Judgement has a 1-20% proc rate (never procs when you need it). I have decent gear and a good build, but I can't seem to win in duels against ANY class because I lack basic mobility, utility, survive-ability and damage. If I had one of these three, it would be fine, but at the moment Iop has none of these. I played during beta and Iop felt a lot stronger and more capable then. Cheap mobility spells, great dmg... but now, there is no point pvping with an Iop because every other class has better tools and better damage (considering range). Either Iop needs a big buff or other classes need to be nerfed.Add Quote Here

Iop needs a buff?

Good sir/ madame... You are INSANE.

For example... Iops themselves have WAY too many ways to increase their damage... Authority, Increase, Jump, Compulsion all stack up into Power and preparation as opposed to other classes having to struggle at times to match all of of that raw might.

The only classes considered stronger than an Iop would be Cra (which were nerfed) and Xelor (which were also nerfed)... Whilst Iops remained untouched in the most recent patch.

Super Iop Punch, Charge, and jump can get you a good enough distance if needed, You just need to know what your'e doing.

Whilst locking is a mostly useless and random stat, Iops get a power boost in the event that they do lock, and you can chase them to some extent, but other classes need pushing/ teleporting techniques to keep away from the Iops... You cannot expect them to slant the game system in favour of close range classes, do you?

You use a level 100 Iop so any inability to do damage is not a valid excuse.

Their attacks also do IMPRESSIVE damage. Not all of them, but have you ever tried battling a 12 AP Iop Build with double Iops Wrath? THAT is true terror.

Try using a sram and looking at the damage output of this class who in ALL cases can at best hit only ONE enemy with ANY of their techniques (In all branches) before complaining about nerfing other classes. Iops are currently the kings of Close Quarters Combat if you didn't know.

Maybe you could explain what build your Iop has?

Fire Sacrier nerfing?NOOOOO!!!!
What about Xelors? No info?... Smells like a nerf... Mega Nerf
Iops Untouched? Cool.
Fecastopheles weakened? Why????
Wisdom and prospective no longer stat-boostable? Awwwwright!
*See Srams*
*See the word reduction*
Well I'm out.
Nothing to do here.

I don't understand Ankama's basis for messing up the Sacrier in this manner... This DESTROYS my build, and the build of many other's. But I guess it opens up persons to having to use different combos out of necessity. Why is this only happening to the beserker class however is beyond me... They are the class you would expect the one-spell spamming from. I hope the changelog is accurate, unlike last time where they neglected to mention the reduction of damage to sacrier's lightspeed. Also it would be better if when they say "Reduced to X", they would tell you the present figure as opposed to the new one as to allow for easy comparison and more logic-based fits of rage. Making the Sram's weaker and neglecting to correct their gameplay bugs is not a good look Ankama. I eagerly await the pain that shall follow with the Xelor nerf. Please let it not be Temporal Burn. That technique gets blamed for everything.
Lol to "No wisdoms scrolls work over level hundred" I know persons @ lvl who have been stocking up on the 80 years of wisdom scrolls as to easily make it level 105 in minimum time. They must feel bad now.
One last thing... Quests that give ABILITY points? They... Aren't repeatable are they? Because I see this getting real ugly, real fast.

The real April's Fool Joke would be if this was real and everybody passed it off as a troll... then later on... BAM! It's in the next patch.
But lets think about the possibilities for super-unbalanced classes. Xelra- (Xelor + Cra) Riddling, AP steal, Cra's precision, Rollback, beacons, Dials?
Iops + Cra? Power at all ranges.
Srams + Cra? Stealthy Sniping.
Sacriers + Iops?..... Im okay with that.
Ecaflips + Cra?? Nahhhh lets not go there. Lets not.
Happy April's Fool Day.

Xelor's Mummification spell hasn't been working correctly. I Tried using it multiple times and the second the revived persons turn starts... it ends. Sorta like the beta sinistro bug. I actually use this spell in team play... So a fix would be nice.

Dear Troyle,
Are they planning to add new hoodlums soon? Particularly some of the sram variety. Other classes have build-specific hoodlum drops but the Sram has none. And yes, the Sram need some more equipment in general... "Attack from behind" equipment has become more common, but there is farr from a satisfactory amount available before the arachne set. More power to the backstab! Also in the three pistes dungeon the sacrier brewers still have the old "Motion Sickness" which now has the Sanguine Armor visual effect with the same actual effect... Think y'all need to have a look at that. It's fine with me when enemies have older versions to techniques, such as the Air Ecaflip hoodlums, but not when the visual aspect of it is broken. Is there any news on when the Masqueraiders will be coming in and will their matching hoodlums become available as well as they launch? And as previously asked, what do us Amaknians get from having our Classical Riktus bandits spread about the other nations?

Oh God, Why? *Shakes fist at the Sacrier Goddess*
Why did it have to be a referral game? So tempting but I already got all my friends who would be willing to play this.... to play this.
Give a dog a bone Ankama. Give other ways to get free Tofus! Because we love the freeness... but this is a pressuring post-release mini-game to have tied in.

Definitely the Sacrier... Even though the patch removed that 'extra vigorous' Passive and re-tooled angrr which was my main passive combo... at least now the earth techniques have some degree of usefulness... Excited to see what the Masqueraiders have in store... I hope they aren't only available for P2P persons... :/
