I need some help/advice with my Iop Hi everyone.

I just made my Iop earlier on today, I heard about builds and stuff and I'd rather not screw up my stats. I'm planning to go for an Earth-Air Build or just an Earth Build.. any advice? Oh and I haven't used any points yet, so I just need to know which stats to max.

Hello, and welcome.

First thing you'll want to do is decide on your elemental alignment. As you approach end-game content, you'll be finding less and less equipment that caters to more than one element.

It's fine to use spells from other branches for utility, or to spend leftover AP, but the chunk of your damage needs to come from a single elemental source.

That being said, as far as stats go, here are my personal recommendations. Remember that playstyle differs from person to person - You may want to play a more damage oriented Iop, or have one that is more geared towards survivability.

Required Damage Specialties
These are pretty much used in every build and form the foundation of a Iop. Authority provides an excellent and reliable damage boost, while Show Off grants the same effect but relies on the presence of party members.

  • Authority OR Show Off
  • Compulsion

Useful Specialties
Here is where your build tends to branch off. Virility will give you the much needed passive health boost, while Locking Pro will help you keep fleeing foes within range.

  • Virility
  • Locking Pro

Utility Specialties
These are your options for to help you with battlefield mobility. Jump can grant you a two-cell leap that ignores line of sight and empowers your next attack, while Flatten covers a longer distance and has a small chance of stunning the target.

  • Jump OR Flatten

As far as abilities go, I recommend a hybrid mixture of Health, Damage (Intelligence, Strength or Agility) and Initiative. Other viable options include Lock and Critical Hits. It's up to you to find what would suit your playstyle best.
