Why put all your stats into health? Just started, having a lot of fun on the character but i didn’t apply any of my character stat points because i wasn’t sure what element to go, reading through the forums people have said to put all your points into hp or ap + hp? Is this just to survive better or do your pets get a boost from this? I mainly play with friends so i dont get hit by enemies much, im only level 15 could it be useful to put all my points into int or str to get better damage? what are your thoughts on the matter?

The new stats (str, int etc....) really do no good for osa since we have the pet do the job. I suggest you should choose between HP and AP (1 for ap and the rest for hp seem to be really efficient ).

got same dilemma as Smem....
so if I put all my points in hp + ap I will just become tanky "pokemon trainer" that does no dmg with skills (since I don't invest into str, agi, int) and completely rely on pets :| it's quite awkward specially when I play with friends in party and just tickle enemies with skills until my pets hits them.

btw. Do pets scale their stats: HP, MP, AP, bonus DMG, resistance, lock, dodge, initiative with Osa stats (example: if Osa have more bonus DMG from eq or int/str/agi then more bonus dmg pets receive) or they got flat stats that just change when Osa got stronger (level up)?

Each pet has a set stat number on their stats which does not change or level up. The only way to improve their attributes is to use the fire skills to lend them your stats or earth skills to change their AI which also comes with a stat boost as well.

Fire builds would benefit from getting points in Initiative/lock/etc as those stats are xferred across to your pet when you use the relevant skill. Same with your percentage of damage with the last fire ability (name escapes me).

In my opinion, the HP stat does not transfer well onto late game, at higher levels it is probably not as beneficial with the exception of those classes who get +% hp. Willpower is an unknown quantity as of yet, the STR,AGI,INT may well end up the same as hp with the exception it does allow large boosts to resistances as well.

I'd suggest focus on AP/MP for more strategic play, only hitpoints or heavy focus on dmg/resist stats if your play style was air (e.g. draconic form)

Hope that helps.

I have a few avenues of thought for the HP pumping mentality.

1.) The new stats are fairly new and haven't been widely tested into the extremely high levels.
2.) The osa needs to tank for his pets, as they usually are glass-cannons.
3.) The effects of HP are noticeable in the early game. In theory the damage modification stats require characters of incredibly large levels dealing incredible amounts of base damage, not found, nor probably will ever be commonly found before the end of open beta.
4.) I don't really think for myself. I lack the resources to test my own ideas. And people told me to pump HP. They say it's not the best, though I doubt any could answer if you ask what the best really is, but it's good enough for a simpleton like me.

Just made an osa and have the same problem. I think ill put everything in HP (or AP) sinds many pets just hit the monster and walk away (or hit the monster from the distance), and Im the one who takes all the dmg, so I need alot HP.

That entirely depends on which pet you take. Normal gobballs and gobbal warchiefs always try to be in melee range for instance, while tofus always try to be at distance, and red Googoos switch between the two states.

Thats true, but still, at some point I think we all (well, at least I) would have some pets that attack from the distance. And even if we only use malee pets in fight, big HP would help as well, because we could heal them with our own HP.
