A non Scientific Way of Determining, Water damage vs Heal Bonuses
Ok this is not like the other post where they are discussing if water damage % adds to your heal. Yes i agree it does, but when i was searching for equipments, i wondered which would be better, to have a set that gives water damage, or a set that give heal damage. So this is a non scientific way of determining that. I'm using my Enri, and mix matching equipments to see which have a better damage/heal bonus. with this testing i came up with something odd.
For the purposes of this test i will be fighting a lvl 35 Arachnee, HP-300 and a 70% resistance to water. I will be using Unnatural Remedies Lvl 9 Invigorating Word lvl 35, renewing word lvl 32. Enri base stats Water damage: 67% Heal Bonus :36% Equipment: none With just the base, my damage to the Arachnee is just 30 for the I.W. and 15 for the R.W. I heal myself for an ave of 26 / 12 respectively. Enri adding Healing bonuses Equipment Water Damage: 67% Heal Bonus 67% Equipment: Hour Wand 10% heal, Gobbchielette 6% heals, Guardian Amulet 15% heals With this, my damage went up to 42 / 17, and i heal myself for 32 / 14. Enri adding water damage only Water Damage: 122% Healing Bonus 36% Equipment: Larvesque Set 30%, Tofu Cape 5%, Alamood Rings x 2 10% each, With this, my damage and heals actually came down a bit. Damage was 41 / 16. and my heals were 31 / 13 Enri adding water damage and heal damage Water damage 122% Healing Bonus 67% Equipment: everything listed above. When i combine the two i thought i could get a combined damage, but i guess that was too much to ask, it just ave it out. Damage was 46 / 21. and the heal was 36 / 16. With this i was concluding that it is better to add equipment that gives heals rather than water damage. i mean i added only 30% to the heals and it raised my heals and damage equally to the water damage where i needed to add 55%. I was content at this point when i had a thought. If i would disregard the water damage and just concentrate on the heals i could wear the satisfaction rings (+1 AP, -50% damage and resistance all) I can wear 2 of em and have an additional 2AP to do damage. So heres the weird part. Enri with high AP Water Damage: 2% Heal Bonus: 67% Equipment: Everything except the rings replaced with Satisfaction Rings. This one is a good idea. As long as you dont get hit by anything. Yes i do get an additional damage. There are soo many things you can do with an additional 2AP, the drawback of the satisfaction rings is horrible. the Arachnee usually damages me for about 41-55. now because of the -50% resistance the damage is 95-110. I get a damage of 40 / 15, and i heal myself for 28 / 11. Enri with no water bonus just heal, and satisfaction rings. Water Damage: -33% Heal Bonus: 67% Equipment: Removed the set, all that remains is the wand, shield, necklace, and Satisfaction Rings Ok, so heres the weird one. I basically removed all the water damage bonuses. I basically have a -33% on my water elemental Bonuses. and yet my damage was 39 / 18 and my heal was 35 / 14. I was expecting my damage will dorp to 15 or something because of the -33%, but its still basically like my base Enri with just the Healing bonuses. Ok my head hurts right now. I guess what i'm trying to say is i don't know if all these damage and bonuses equations works. But it seems having a negative elemental damage bonus doesn't really affect u as much as the negative resistance. Wearing two satisfaction rings is a novel idea. you could use it, while equipping heal bonuses gear, i mean hoe doesn't want an additional 2AP. But man that -50% resistance to all is a killer. Long story short, In a non scientific way, i believe it is better to get equipments that give a bonus to healing rather than water damage. But if you can mixmatch both why not. I'm pretty sure i'm rambling right now so thank you for reading this far... i forgot my point right now... |

Not sure on this but the -50 percent heals from the unnatural remedies probably only counts %heals and not %water damage

So your findings suggest:
a) heal bonus increases both heals and water damage b) water damage bonus slightly increases both heals and water damage c) water damage malus doesn't really affect healing and water damage Thanks for testing this |
