Quote (Lohaf @ 11 May 2012 12:15) Look at what happened to experience scrolls.
And what happened?
They added an unannounced level limitation to the scrolls when the level cap was raised to 105, preventing players who were already level 100 from using them.
You shouldn't expect to be able to use these potions next time the level cap is raised either, if Ankama's track history is to be trusted.

This potion was intended for immediate use, so I wouldn't be surprised if they added a limitation to prevent them from being used when they're not meant to.
Look at what happened to experience scrolls.

While I don't see Ankama disclosing the full list of the cheaters, I do believe something needs to be given to the community as a guarantee that the culprits were dealt with.
But again, this reminds me of the Black Crow abuse incident, where people were getting gear from the boss whether they succeeded in beating the Black Crow or not. The only thing we got was a single line from Troyle saying "The abusers will be sanctioned", and nothing else.
There was no proof that they were actually sanctioned, and once again, the community was left in the dark. I don't expect this time to be any different.

Lunar and Nun dungeons belong to different tiers of content. Lunar was released alongside Crow dungeon, and both remained unaltered.
Nun dungeon, however, was released afterwards. The developers felt the difficulty in which it was originally implemented did not fit the player level it was intended for, hence the change.
Also, the Lunar dungeon content update also brought the Crobak Set, which is a fairly decent and much more accessible set than Lunar was at the time.

[Experience Bug] Unable to reach Level 105
Issue: There seems to be a cap preventing players from reaching level 105. The experience gain stops completely when you're one point short.
Once this cap is reached, it is no longer possible to earn experience from fights. I can only guess this was a side-effect of the spell experience limitation that was implemented recently.

Quote (NerdFiction @ 10 May 2012 01:48) I agree Ankama has messed up big time, but it's funny how some forum members say "they could have just done this: [insert solution that only works in some situations]!!!1".
Different companies have handled similar situations differently. Every suggestion I've seen on the forums was completely within the realm of possibility and has been employed, at some point, by different companies.
One such similar incident was when PvP (Gladiator) gear in World of Warcraft was made available on merchants for absolutely no cost and tradeable between players. This led to mostly everyone on the server, including lower level alts, to walk around in high-end PvP gear.
Was there a rollback? No, there wasn't. I'm sure it was a complete hassle to track down the illegitimate pieces of gear, and differentiate them from the ones obtained legitimately, but they did it - overnight. This occurred during Arena Season 6 I believe, before Wrath of the Lich King was released.
The fact they resorted to a server rollback, which they claim to know is the worst possible decision they can make, not even four months after the game's launch, leaves you uneasy about the future of the game, to say the very least.
Quote (NerdFiction @ 10 May 2012 01:48) If the design of the game was poor from the start there might not be a way to fix things the way you think they should be fixed. I'm sure the developers spend hours trying to think of the optimal way to fix problems and there's no way someone who hasn't even seen the source code of the game could possibly know better.
This isn't our problem, and we shouldn't be penalized for it either.
Quote (NerdFiction @ 10 May 2012 01:48) There's one thing I've learned over the years: People don't understand if one problem is fixed in a certain way it could cause three new problems.
See above.
Quote (NerdFiction @ 10 May 2012 01:48) The thing I don't understand is why the hell isn't there a test server? - This is actually the only unacceptable thing right now. Bugs will always be there, even if you pay €50 a month to play.
After messing up this big a test server should be the first thing on their minds.
This has been suggested for a long time, but Ankama turns a blind eye to anyone but their own French community. Until one of their developers personally experiences the need for change, nothing will happen.
This is a direct result of the alienation and separation of communities that Ankama decided to enforce. I would like to meet the genius who thought that splitting your playerbase would ever be a wise idea.
Quote (NerdFiction @ 10 May 2012 01:48) Also don't hate me for saying the truth.
Opinions aren't facts.

Not sure if trolling or... trolling.
Stop thinking about how Ankama's trying to protect our future gameplay, rather than just restoring the items most of us probably got by exploiting the glitch for +hundreds of extra prospecting.

Quote (Troyle @ 09 May 2012 16:02) Spells were always meant not to receive any experience once the cap level was reached. Why was this left like that for so long? One can only wonder.
You and I know this is complete lack of professionalism on Ankama's part. Many players (myself included) have spent countless hours at level cap farming for spell experience.
Here's hoping there won't be another rollback over this.
Quote (Troyle @ 09 May 2012 16:02) However, please note that our devs are currently working on an ingame feature that would allow you to reassign your spell experience… But more on that later.
So this game-breaking change went through with absolutely no announcement made in advance? And to top it off, this change was applied before this aforementioned spell experience reassignment mechanic was even finished?

I'm mostly satisfied with the compensation given, albeit bleeding-edge acceptable under these circumstances. What worries me the most, however, is what we have learned from this event:
- Ankama lacks the tools to efficiently track down bug abusers in this game. The fact they resorted to the worst possible solution, the rollback, confirms this theory; which will inevitably lead to further rollbacks in the future.

[Bonta] Lohaf and Elections
Lohaf for Governor? Well, what's in it for us?
For starters, we're planning on doing weekly challenge events to help everyone get Haven Bag decoration items, as well as unique emote scrolls that can't obtained anywhere else. This is to get people's minds off of just logging on everyday to grind for experience or gear. We believe there are many other aspects of the game to enjoy, and we'll be doing the best we can to promote those.
Due to popular demand, we're likely to revamp the weekend war event into something more consistent to allow a greater number of players to partake in PvP. For those familiar with the War of Emperium event from Ragnarok Online, we're looking into having two short-lasting wars, as opposed to one war that lasts the entire day.
The goal with this change is to promote competition over conquerable islands, not nation invasions. While we are aware that several players enjoy PvP, there is an equal, if not greater, amount of players who don't enjoy that aspect of the game and would rather spend their time elsewhere.
For those who enjoy ecology work, we're looking into putting together a group of several potential ecologists on patrol within our borders, to help ensure the desires of our Clan Members are always fulfilled. We will be organizing prize and reward giveaways to the highest contributors.
And last, but certainly not least, we're hard at work to organize a major, international-scale event, to help with the collection of items necessary to gain access to the highest level areas within the Wakfu and Stasis Islands.
The current government seats will also be re-evaluated. I urge everyone to voice your opinions on who you'd like to see in each position, and why they deserve to be there. Additionally, I'd like to welcome potential candidates from other guilds into these seats, to promote guild alliances.
Thank you for your support!

The fact that they even considered a rollback to be a viable solution to this problem baffles me immensely.
A rollback to post-patch state also means yet another ecosystem reset, and we all know how the first one was welcomed.
I'll be greatly disappointed not only as a player, but also as a customer, if this rollback does go through. Disappointed enough to look elsewhere for more enjoyable and reliable forms of entertainment.

Having fun with the new nodes. Unfortunate that half of them have no current use.

Thanks.

Hello, and welcome.
First thing you'll want to do is decide on your elemental alignment. As you approach end-game content, you'll be finding less and less equipment that caters to more than one element.
It's fine to use spells from other branches for utility, or to spend leftover AP, but the chunk of your damage needs to come from a single elemental source.
That being said, as far as stats go, here are my personal recommendations. Remember that playstyle differs from person to person - You may want to play a more damage oriented Iop, or have one that is more geared towards survivability.
Required Damage Specialties
These are pretty much used in every build and form the foundation of a Iop. Authority provides an excellent and reliable damage boost, while Show Off grants the same effect but relies on the presence of party members.
- Authority OR Show Off
- Compulsion
Useful Specialties
Here is where your build tends to branch off. Virility will give you the much needed passive health boost, while Locking Pro will help you keep fleeing foes within range.
Utility Specialties
These are your options for to help you with battlefield mobility. Jump can grant you a two-cell leap that ignores line of sight and empowers your next attack, while Flatten covers a longer distance and has a small chance of stunning the target.
As far as abilities go, I recommend a hybrid mixture of Health, Damage (Intelligence, Strength or Agility) and Initiative. Other viable options include Lock and Critical Hits. It's up to you to find what would suit your playstyle best.

There are two specific laws that address this issue. However, because they are mostly situational laws, most nations tend to overlook them.
That being said, the next best way to deal with party crashers is to lock your fights. Anyone not in your group will not be able to join any battles you initiate. This option can be toggled in the Options Menu or by clicking the padlock button that appears when you enter a battle, in the bottom left action bar.
