Ubuntu 12.04 update and Wakfu error, Runtime error during install/launch
posté April 27, 2012, 18:21:58 | #1
Ubuntu 12.04 update and Wakfu error Up until middle of today Wakfu was working completely fine. I updated from Ubuntu 11.10 to 12.04. The menu entry for Wakfu no longer launches the update client. I can launch the game client directly by opening the shell script.

This is the error I get if I try to run the launcher

Quote
user@host: /home/user/ankama/Wakfu]# ./UpLauncher ./UpLauncher: error while loading shared libraries: libjpeg.so.62: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I've tried reinstalling but for some reason it doesn't completely extract the files and at the last install prompt in which you click "Finish" to run Wakfu, it does nothing.

Anyone have any similar problems?

Well it wasn't Java, was pretty sure of that since I installed the lastest JDK at the start of the year for uni.

In a slightly more sober and awake state I thought I'd check out the Ubuntu forums and they actually(surprisingly), have a Wakfu specific solution.

I run 64 bit too and the particular error I was getting was because it's not supported on 64-bit.

sudo apt-get install libjpeg62:i386

The above command will install the 32-bit version. This worked for me and Wakfu is working again!

Thanks!
I have solved in playonlinux with 1.1.9wine conf.
Independent of that I'll try this:
sudo apt-get install libjpeg62:i386
