Switching allegiance, A change in the wind

Switching allegiance Another fairly simple idea, could be easily added in fact as it doesn't really require much of anything.

Allow us to switch to another nation.

Just make it cost something. Like reset your CP to 0 of course), and make it so you need a minimum number of CP (100? 500?), as well as some kama (again, 100? 500?). To further add, you should only be allowed to switch once, and you must be in allied status with the nation in question. Could also add in other rules, maybe 'can't run for governor for three months/ever in the new nation'.

The games political climate side of things you don't really get to learn when you're a new citizen, so you don't really know all the much when you choose a nation. Giving people a one-off chance to change sides, with a cost, could solve a lot of hassles if people simply find the nation they've chosen incompatible.

People will say "Just make another character". Which is a valid point. But not when you happen to be a high level crafter/gatherer and such. You really don't want to lose those skills just because you picked the wrong nation.

hm..thats not bad. but i expect they would sel it as a store item if they added it at all.

but i think it would be beneficial to everyone if they added another nation, Astrubian which couldnt war/was allways neutral and was the defalt you were listed as when you make a new char.
you could do a quest to gain citizenship of the other 4 nations, say once you reaches lvl 15-20 or so. would also mean F2P chars were all listed as Astrubian nationality
you could use the boat ect to visit the nations to wander about em (the one in astrub, it would only let you visit the areas that dont require a passport to pass thru, so you cant view the 'nation'-village areas, but you can wander about the rest of each nation to see whats going on get a feel for the nations and listen to the things going on there)
once subbed you could use the other boats ect to visit and see the rest of the world, but it would also allow you to choose to *stay* Astrubian. you wouldnt get any citizen bonuses and this woudl also mean you probably couldnt gain CP. but you would be neutral to all nations no matter what. i guess they would be the best nation for free trading characters lol.
you would also have to pay kama's to pass into passported areas, or pay for a special *monthly* travelers passport that would allow you access to the other nations.

CP requirement? O_o So... you need to be a respected citizen in the nation you want to betray?

Wut.

Otherwise, I like the suggestion. Why not make it so you need a certain amount of NEGATIVE CP, if there has to be a CP requirement?

Because you should need to show you're actually productive and useful before another country is willing to take you in

In that case, Ankama should rather split up Citizenship points (As it should have from the beginning)

Do something good in Bonta, and you gain Bonta CP. Do something bad in Bonta, and you lose CP, and if you are another nation currently at war with Bonta, gain CP with your current nation.

Have at most 0 CP with your current faction, and at least 300 with your prefered new faction.

Only problem with that, is how lolbugged the CP system currently is. If you don't know where to farm it, you could have full Wakfu, and still have 100 disobidience points, even without ever purposely doing something against the law. Others who go on killing spree on same-faction lowbies, still have over 9000 CP points, because they simply farmed some higher level, respawning monster, that always gives CP.

So in the end, it would probably be best to NOT use CP in any other systems than it is already used in. i'm still hoping this system get's removed in a nearby future, or at least get a major revamp.
