Why is there no easy way to find groups?

Why is there no easy way to find groups? Hello, I'm a player who likes to do dungeons. But to find a group I need to either:

  • Wait untill enough guildmembers are online and willing to go do dungeons, or
  • wait for hours untill I get lucky and find a group who are recuiting more members.
Now I've been wasting all week running between Crobak dungeon, Lunar dungeon and back home to Bonta without finding any group. As a player who has been looking for a group this long I wonder why this game has no system for finding groups at all.

Not only would this make life easier for everyone in Wakfu and trade less spammable, it would also help people do some actual game content instead of farming for experience all day (Wild Gobballs anyone?). Can you name me one low level dungeon that's crowded? No? That's because it's almost impossible to find a group. Instead, you either level untill you're high enough to solo everything yourself or you get boosted by someone who can. This isn't how dungeons are supposed to work!

This game needs a list of online people who are willing to do dungeons, which is accessible everywhere. A global chat would end as a spam channel. And currently I'm wasting so much time traveling between dungeons that I wonder why I keep playing.

well, it could be becasue of the damaging effect the tool had on games like wow...

once they gave them the dungeon finder, a large part of the game playerbase became antisocial ass hats to eachother.
add to that, when they gave them the extra loot for needed types (sign up for the dungeon as tank, get extra items) and the deserter debuff that you got from quitting a bunch of asshats, and guild groups (or friends)who would kick players at the very end of the run, so they were no longer allocated loot from the dungeon, and you get a very nasty case of total jerkdome happening often.

i would say try waiting outside the dungeons, and try asking in local chat. if everyones responding in a language you cant understand, its sad, but your not going to get into those groups anyway as a non-native to the main group.

however, i DO think they need a looking for dungeon CHAT channel thats global. i know this would probably end up as spammed to frell, used to advertise and as a replacement for global general chat...but its better than nothing i guess

I think they need to add not a channel but a group finder, in the social tab you'd open the group finder and it'd show you who's currently looking for a group, how many are in said group currently and for what dungeon, you could then ask them to join from that, or if you wanted to set up a group you could and then wait for people to respond to you. That way it'd be a global group finder, but wouldn't be spamming any channel!

hm, yeah that would be good, provided you still had to reach the dungeons (need to know where they are on the map after all)
and you cant just teleport to and from the dungeon...got to make sure you cant be kicked once the bosses are done with (to avoid you going all the way thru the dungeon then being kicked by the majority befor you receve your loot) unless they have some form of auto-drop so everyone gets something....they use a drop bag or chest type system on ToR (the BF says) which has eliminated the ninja system because everyone gets a bag/box that gives you a chance at loot. you *allways* get something, and usualy its something beneficial to your class (at least in ToR lol) but you also have a persentage chance of a realy good item. and it dont matter who else gets a special drop, their getting a special dosent impact on your chance to get one too. makes it fairer i think.
(could have levels of loot bag. the harder the dungeon, the better your chances of decent gear drops, otherwise it buff drops ect)

I added everyone to my friend list that I meet so I have many to ask if they like to join dungeon or exping. However if you do this your list is going to get full and you would not know who is who (what one account name has named his character what).
So when I deleted some from my friend list I probably have deleted someone that I still wanted to be friend with. Still it's quite full.

Your idea already was implemented on dofus, on wakfu it will be a helpfull tool, like on dofus.
