Subscription
You'd earn so much more money if you made the game 100% free to play... You'd just have to add an item shop that could sell auto-candies, pets, keys (after making them harder to get in-game), fancy stuff, whatever.
The way it is now, people who haven't played the beta will propably have no idea how much fun the game is - they might not even subscribe. I played the beta, but even so, I'm not going to pay for it. Why? Because every day I don't spend with playing the game feels like wasted money - pretty frustrating. This, of course, wouldn't make me play 24/7, so I'm simply not going to play at all. I know that even if you wanted to, you wouldn't be able to make any of these changes because of the announcement of the subscriptions - maybe in a year, so even I can get back into the game! Awesome work nevertheless, I really enjoyed playing the game! |

Hey Amnael, already have a lot of topics like this in the forum and the idea of a p2p game is that everyone can have the same things, it depends only on the player to reach that level or get that powerful gear, cash shops is different, who have more money to spend on the game will have much more facilities or will be stronger than the others. I believe Ankama do this for the players and not for the money

Hey Amnael, already have a lot of topics like this in the forum and the idea of a p2p game is that everyone can have the same things, it depends only on the player to reach that level or get that powerful gear, cash shops is different, who have more money to spend on the game will have much more facilities or will be stronger than the others. I believe Ankama do this for the players and not for the money If there was no money in it, they wouldn't have picked up a project like this in the first place. Everyone tries to get as much money as they can - that's simply the way we function (it's not a bad thing).
There are people who pay, and there are peple who don't. If the game if pay to play, the paying ones will eventually get to max level, people that don't purchase a subscription will never do that. If there's an item shop (with the candies I suggested for example) the players that do not wish to play will be able to get to max level as well, but the ones that pay will simply reach it faster. The point of the item shop is not to make people stronger than non-paying players - it's for lazy people. And, of course, there are many other options - customization of your character, for example. They could add face and hair modifiers (unique faces and hairs that were not availible while creating characters), maybe costumes, whatever. People totally love that kind of stuff. If the game is free to play, every single player has the ability to reach maximum level, whereas the way it is now, only a few are able to do so - at this point you must have realized that this isn't about the players at all; it's about money (wrong approach though, in my opinion - and apparently, a lot of others think the same way). Don't forget that some people don't have the luxury to pay for the game each month - they won't be able to play at all. You can see it the following way: people who pay will reach maximum level, people who don't will eventually (pretty early) get stuck, making an even bigger difference between paying and non-paying players than you've mentioned. |

There are numerous threads discussing this, there does not need to be another to go over the same arguments.
