Please see the image below this is the class directory as we can see it clearly state the date on the guides. Note this is actually zoomed out so normal the fonts are bigger.
On every single topic the date is posted so I think a certain amount of common sense should be applied.
The main reason new players can not find the information or guides they are looking for is the search function on this website is awful. It is in fact so bad I strongly suggest people use google such as "fire panda guide wakfu forum" to get the best results.
Often if people find there is no guide they can simply post on forums and usually if people know something then they can help.
I will also add that with so many classes and possible combination we may never cover every possible combination however as I said if people know something then people usually help out. New players may not quite appreciate that our server populations are not massive so we may not be the master of the universe with knowledge of everything which of course to a new player could lead to much frustration. For example someone makes a post "I want to make an pure earth fogger give me help please
" and receive no replies people including myself may not post "sorry I know nothing but good luck".
So replying directly to the title itself "moving old guides to a new section" you would actually create a bigger problem. Lets say there are 20 guides there is a patch, so they all get moved to old. Lets take my Eni's guide in that patch nothing changed for eni's at all so my guide is actually up to date. If we moved the guides the players would be without guides until everyone updates also it may take time to adapt to each change so you might not be able to write a guide for some time (if you are still actively playing and have the free time).
Also as this is tactical game unless you have a sufficient knowledge about the classes small or large changes may not make the guide a player has written out of date necessarily.
Ok, how about this a MOD posted at the bottom of each guide IF a guide is more than 6 months old and messages the guide creator "hey update your guide!". The MOD could write "players be aware this guide is more than 6 months old and may contain out of date information" in red.
