Really though, the fact that people are replying to this topic and showing interest seems to be an indication of who wants to be a mod. Couldn't someone then just look at this topic, the mods, their style of writing and make educated guesses that may be right? What happens then?

Sameerr has basically said that he made an assumption. His assumption was based on evidence he had beforehand, and since nothing said otherwise to the assumption, it wasn't stupid to believe that it was true. This is how life works.
He never said that he wasn't happy with the bonus items. He's just upset that he couldn't trade them at that point in time. There is nothing to point to his dissatisfaction of the items.

But no, Ankama needs the international server for the money. They don't put any effort into it, but they still gain profits.
Also, funny how the French forum section has 30x the developer announcements. But the same amount of replies. The French community isn't big enough to support the entire game, but they treat it as if it were. It's a completely different reason as to why those 2 servers wouldn't merge.
The North American server is owned by Square Enix, whilse the other servers are owned by Ankama. For the 2 servers to be able to be 'merged' as you term it, Ankama would have to rescind on the contract they have with Square Enix - And they can't do that, because then there'd be a whole load of other legal crap they'd have to go through with, and the benefits Ankama gains because of said contract would be removed if they got rid of it.
Basically, the 2 servers are owned by different companies so they can't merge.

It's irrelevant anyway. Everything is being wiped on the 29th, when the game is released. You should have known that, as it was beta, it would be wiped and you would lose it.
And yes, when the game is released you can only have/trade kamas if you're a subscriber.
