Troyle please answer this please!!! I am an air IOP and as you know air IOP is based on combos and for the combos I NEED my spells so if I have only lets say my jabs and gust as max level and will my other spells stay at lvl zero because if so THAN obviously as one can see easily with two skills only I an incomplete DUMB character I am begging you to answer me about this issue?

When we talk about having spells level 100 at character level 100, this is to give you an idea of the amount of spell experience that your character will have at level 100.

The total spell experience received when reaching character level 100, and if you used only spells from one branch, equals the amount of experience required to level two spells to 100.

Now, at level 100 in mono-element, you could still have something like 1 spell level 100 and two spells level 80 (I'm giving random numbers here).

You will still receive spell experience when the cap level is increased, so even though you leveled more than two spells, you will still be able to level some of them to level 100 along your way to level 200.

Ok I got that part clearly and its good gotta say that. But in the old system our spells affected our resistance and attack numbers in the new system if it affects same like in old one than we will have a huge problem cause our overall damage/resistance will be decreased on the contrary the monsters outside will be really strong to us cause in the last patch you already overpowered the monsters outside ''dramatically.''

I like the overall idea of this new spell system, but what if I start out as a hybrid build, reach the level cap and then start redistributing all the spell exp I gained to a single branch? Won't I have an advantage over players who started out with mono-element builds that way?
I also wonder how the spell exp reset will work. Will you look at which people have hybrid builds beforehand, and give those people more exp? Or will there be a base spell exp amount, which increases by a certain percentage if you put exp into different branches?

[Edit] Disregard my first question, I missed this bit: "Note however that the balance rule that we announced earlier (2 max level spells with one tree, or 1 max level for each tree) will also apply to respecialization. You will never be able to exceed this rule thanks to respecialization."

I believe you can no longer have advantage. They will probably reduct spell experience gained from wisdom or whatever to spell experience cap. Therefore you will distribute your spells from those experience. For level 105 i mean.

What should be noted is that, the spell xp you don’t get due to the 1/3 limitation, is not lost. It stays stored as “unassigned” xp.

This unassigned xp will be taken into account when respecializing.

All in all, at level 105 all characters have the same amount of spell experience, but depending on how you used your spells, some of it may be unassigned.

Can imagine the only build that balance with multi branch spell usage is full crit build.

And using set like noke set that add general spell dmg and res.

Really good changes, This will please a lot of multi element people in my guild. I know a lot of pople were worried that you would mess up but thanks again for proving that I am right to trust Ankama.

limitations... why? for what? i paid for play in long terms in this game with "old system", not with this "new nice" crap.

As you can now continue to get spell xp past lvl 105, spell level scrolls are usless and as it states above have been removed from te game.

would be nice if they could make the "XP Scrolls" give experience for spells also

example: Boowolf 250K xp scroll, 10% - 25K, then I could give 2% of exp for each of the five main spells of their tree

I'm amazed some people DISLIKE this idea.

Seriously, this isn't Disgaea. If you want a ridiculously OP, master-of-all character, you've picked the wrong game.

I find it awesome. I agree though, that some classes will be somewhat "disadvantaged" at first, being limited at probably around 70/80-ish in several spells, purely because the class relies on those spells to work properly. Air Iops is a good example, using jabs(Or Flurry if you like clicking a lot), Uppercut and Gutting Gust. That's 3 core spells they can't really NOT level. If this Iop wants any kind of AoE, he/she needs Devastate or Iop's Wrath, and I've yet to see any high level Iop who DIDN'T use either Charge of Super Iops Jump. That's 5 spells. That puts a severe block on the build, because it means it isn't just a "tempoary" nerf - No Air Iop will ever get all those spells at level 100.

I do understand the idea, however, and I approve. I still see some issues with some classes, but that's a minor sacrifice.

Still, if you want to "kill" mono-elemental builds, you should probably go fix their spells a bit more. I'm sure 95% of all Fire Xelors are completely unabashed by this change. "So what? Never using anything but TB and TD anyway. *shrug*"

Or maybe that will balance out in the end somehow. We still need 95 levels to go - Those classes who rely entirely on 2 spells will be... tactically challenged, the closer we get to 200. Which is another problem entirely, but that'll probably be fixed at some point in the future. I hope so at least...

I was worried, but this new spell exp system seems really nice.

Ok i am confused now. How will it affect sadida spells? We have to use our water spells to summon dolls. It's not like we can choose what spell to use. For example we can't use Sadida's Tear (with 5 ap cost) to summon doll when we have 6 ap. This means we will suffer from exp loss in this spell, even if we want to lvl this spell to 100. How will this spell redisribution work? We will get spell exp after each fight to re-distribute? Or will it automatically apply to some useless spell like Vaporize? Seriously we want to controll our dolls with this spell but that means we will loose spell exp. In fact water branch of sadida is so nerfed that i doubt any sadidas would want to level any of water spells. We will propably increase spells in air and earth branches but then how we gonna team work with our greedy (water) dolls?

And if we gonna have more exp to spells... does it mean people will have higher damage output at earlier lvls?

And what about doll's pathetically low hp? Make them all have 30% of sadida HP, just like ultrapowerfull doll form has now! About blocker? Just give it more 2x more resist then for other dolls. Simple like that, and sadidas need this. If you gonna implement new spell system without rebalancing sadidas then it will be even more broken class then it already is.
