I totally agree with the low economy score. How can we expect high price of lvl50-60 items and get rid of their 1k price if
- they are drop and not craftable, 2 low level players can easily kill a Treechnid
- they are not at the end of the crafting pyramid and need only a couple of items to craft. Just take a pair of drops from strong monsters and you can craft it. No basic material (e.g. iron) is needed, and most of the items do not build on previously crafted ingredients.

I am sorry to see the mediocre scores but maybe they are true =(
For the same reason as Blitziii, I respect your work what you have created so far, so my opinion will be untold.

But please understand that Metacritic score will always be based on the quality of the main game and not on the boutique items you are focusing on.

Lol, Ankama surely Ankama wasn't expecting to receive such a low score by their own players. The players who do love the game rarely visit the site, instead, they preffer to play. And the mayority of the people who do post, are F2P crying about how unfair the game is for them because they expect to have as much priviledge as someone who actually pays for the game.

Considering the game labels itself as 'Free-to-Play', I'd think it was understandable that there would be a significant number of F2P'ers upset that the game isn't really Free-to-Play at all.

That tagline is being used as an advertising trick; the mechanics currently in place mean F2P'ers aren't really getting a 'Free-to-Play game experience', but a 'Pay-to-Play game trial'.

If the game said "FREE TRIAL", there wouldn't be a problem - the criteria for free-playing would be crystal clear straight away and F2P'ers would know exactly what kind of gaming experience to expect from the 'Free-to-Play' side of Wakfu.

That's why we've got F2P'ers currently posting their discomfort about the issue on these forums. They're just as entitled to sharing their opinions on these boards as anyone else.

Why's everyone got to be so hostile on these forums anyway?

I wonder if now the devs are going to address the many issues that are plaguing this game, now that it's pretty obvious all is not well with such low user scores. I disagree with such a low rating, but if the overall sentiment is that bad, well... The game is in dire need of rework: Two promised classes aren't even available yet, there's lots of content missing, some classes are horribly unbalanced and let's not even mention the whole boutique situation which left me with a bitter taste. Let's hope this serves as a wake-up call for Ankama, because this game COULD be good and would be sad for it to die after all the work it has been poured into it, but it's far from being there.

EDIT: Also, I forgot to mention this game is not "Free 2 Play." If anything, it should be advertised as "Free 2 Try" or "Unlimited Trial." So, again, if it's mostly F2P'ers complaining about this, it's also an error on Ankama's side.

i think there are many bugs that need to be fixed, but aside that it stills remain my favourite game and with so little time for the release you can expect it having some problems. I hope they will handle all this things and I also agree with the F2P not being quite F2P. you guys took a lot out from what the f2ps had in Dofus. It was PERFECT how it was! Let us trade, practice our profession, buy equipment and sell what we do not need to NPCs and group with whoever we want (from what i understood this is a bug yet to be fixed). People will still subcribe if those are the concerns, I subscribed in Dofus, I'd subscribe now! But give the F2Ps what they ahd in Dofus. I also played the beta and I can remember it being way more friendly to f2ps. Now all we do is grind. The combat mode is terrific as it is! Very enjoyable. I understand the spells have minor bugs that would be fixed and balanced. I still have a big question. Why did Ankama deleted the class temples (like we have in dofus and used to ahve in the beta. They were gorgeous in the beta! I remember I played a whole day just exploring all the classes!) I think they should get it back to more orientated class bond, It used to be really fun. And quests! Add quests! I expected many quests, all in that characteristic mad humor that I liked from the first time.

The Players make the game be famous!! And is this wat we'll do

Blitzii, alot of the dislike comming from subbers at unsubbers is the standard 'this is p2p pay up or get out' type feeling.
this is especialy true of anyone who was in the beta befor it was p2p, and then realised that they cant pay.

most free players arent complaining about the cost. its more often the fact that they are stumped by the payment system becasue of the fact they cannot actualy GET to pay
(like me. i have a nice, shiny paysafecard ten pound that i am just DYING to give them...but i cannot get past the wakfu/dofus sites 'authenticate your account' page because funily enough, the mobile and landlines seem to be comming up invalid on the wakfu/dofus site..yet they were taken by the ankama side site, i activated the ankama shield last night in the hopes that would solve the problem. the whole ankama side account site tells me i am validated, my accounts valid but i cant pay...*sigh*)

then we have the dregs of the world problem. ie, if you arent french, german or north american, we dont realy care, shooo! *gets shoved into a masivly overpopulated 'international' server*
paying internationals are upset because they feel the free players are causing the problem. its not. its overpopulation.
(the solution to this is an international free trial server, where any free account automaticaly gets sent to. or another international server to ease the load. but basicaly, MORE SERVERS!)

as a player who arrived the day or so after the game went p2p, via the 'play for free' button on the website (notice, it says Play for FREE and not Try for FREE...which is also causing a lot of problems.)
i was pleasantly surprised by the incarnum section of the game. planting gobbals and gobblets was fun.but once you get down to the actual island worlds, you feel the pinch. while you can freely mess about with harvesting and gathering stuff in the free area, you cant gain skill from it. you cant gain even trapper skill.
while you can join a nation as a free player, you dont even *feel* part of a nation since you cant help them.
alot of free players have much time on their hands, but (some of them like me cannot pay becasue of bugs and similar) often cant pay (notice...CANT not WONT. there is a diference) but would love to help.

seems a lot of p2p players also are behaving like free players. they only harvest, kill and nothing else. why pay if all your going to do is what the free players do, just where they cant?
many free players would spend their time planting in their nation (if they were given the ability to plant...which is why i sugest ankama set up a single area inside a nation that free players can harvest and plant in, but that in the rest of your nation, you can ONLY plant, not harvest. you could gather seeds, saplings ect but not remove the plant/mob/ore alltogether)

i dont know the sites calculation methods, but i would give the game a 4 outa 10 at the moment, soley on the fact that its not living up to its potential.the ankama wakfu/dofus sites paranoia is a joke becasue its own ankama account page is working fine (for me at least)

IF (and its a big if) ankama fix their wakfu/dofus site payside problems, added another international server, a handfull of more freedoms for free players (im quite happy to be restricted in many ways such as no kamas, no use of boats, no becomming governments, not gaining special status or even going above level 20-25 like in dofus....so long as i can help my chosen nation a bit) more perks for paying customers (being able to party with a friend thats free for example, being able to give them lvl 20 and below junk gear would also be nice) i would give the game a much higher 6 or 7 out of 10 (having not yet been able to play the paid stuff i cannnot comment on those parts as much) but it would problably be higher if i had been in the free play beta

to be honest I would give the game a 9/10 rating when they fix all the bugs and balance everything out, but as for the unfinished game I don't find it suitable to give a rating, would you rate a movie based on the trailer? no.(and you shouldn't if you are going to say yes)

I think if the game is played properly, with people role playing their parts like they should the game would be pretty epic, so yes in theory the game is awesome, to be played by people who don't understand RPGs the game is mostly ruined. expressing opinion merely from personal observation.

Hahaha, I just find this hilarious. I keep coming back to check it out XD

Were they seriously expecting positive feedback? Talk about delusional... I played two characters up to lvl 50 and got bored very fast. I'm not even going to bother coming back because Its going to take months if not years to get this game up to standard and even then it'll probably still focus heavily around a horrible grind. Grinds are sssoooo last decade ;p

Wakfu is one of the very few current day tactical fantasy RPGs out, I fell in love with the idea of the political and economical side of the game being controlled by the users.

This is my 1st month subscribing and it ends in a week; the visual style of the game is superb however the game is glitchy, the sounds appears to cause lag and loops sometimes which is odd.

This game is still just a baby, they Ankama are trying to work out the bugs, some for the better others for the worse, but the point is if you loved the battle system of Disgaea, Final Fantasy: Tactics or any other Tactical Turnbased RPG you should try this game out, the F2P area is nothing to base this game on.

You want to try this game properly, pay the £2 or so that is a weeks subscription of £5 for a month and look for a guild as this game functions better if you've got a good group to play with or maybe a friend joining it with you.

It's a wonderful game Ankama but please get your asses in gear, and start balancing things a bit better, maybe make items less likely to drop but more craftable, increase the need for raw ores such as iron, bronze and zinc.

Requiring more expensive materials and less drops should make the market more worth while, and for god sake add an option to turn off group icons because I can't click on the square behind the icon and to be honest they look fugly!

Played since closed Beta - love every minute of the game. This is easily my favorite tactics game I've played - better than even the original FFT and is one of my favorite RPGs as of date. Sure there are areas to touch up and fix - but I would recommend this to anyone.

I would give it a 8/10 - extra two points will probably be added in the future. Keep up the good work!

I am not surprised by all the bad comments. Ankama earned them, and now they are trying to fix this; which is of course a positive thing. I hope WAKFU keeps on improving and polishing the content, and maybe someday the scores will go up.
