Share your vision, spread the word! There are those who already know about WAKFU, those who have yet to hear about it, and the undecided. What about helping them out, and sharing your vision of the game?

Metacritic is a website offering users to rate their favorite (or least favorite) entertainment service. And as a major source of entertainment, WAKFU couldn’t be kept out of it!

As WAKFU makes its way toward becoming a world known game, and everyone’s favorite, it seems important to help it receive the recognition it deserves. And when it comes to recognition, one couldn't find more qualified than the citizens of the World of Twelve!

There may be people out there who still didn’t decide whether they want to play the game yet. What about sharing your vision of the game, and tell them why you like it? Or maybe just letting them know what kind of audience you think would enjoy the game. Or even why killing Piwis makes you a better being! Any comment is welcome, as long as it is objective and constructive!

So if you feel like sharing your love of the game, just click here!

Damn 4.0, some of those reviews are horrible and untrue

posté March 26, 2012, 15:49:38 | #3
Well 4.0 isn't the best score, but what can you expect. They released unfinished (nothing on 60+level) game with a lot of bugs and balancing issues. On top of that, it has double payment system (p2p+p2w).
They just wanted to start making money on Wakfu right now, even if there is still a lot of work to do with this game. And negative revives are the price for greed.

Game is far from being 8.0/10.0.

Wakfu is not something that any MMO player will like. Battles are slow-paste and not tactic at all (not yet I've hope).

What this game needs is more content, balance/bug fix and TACTIC. Mostly tactic because right now it's faceroll on keyboard.

Balance of classes - 1/10
Content 6.5/10
Economy 2/10
Ecology 7/10 (bugged and cutted)
Political 1/10
Exploring 10/10
PVE 8/10 (toooooooooooo sloooooooow)
PVP 4/10 (3 classes dominated)
New loot system 0/10 (Prospect cap)
So yes. Game unfinished. And total 4 from 10 - is very good point.

And DONATE items better items in game? In p2p game? No one after hearing this dont want see this game.

Its not so much there horrible and untrue there reviews from people who have not played much of Dofus so they have no idea what is to come. I think personally like Shika the game should have been free for a few months maybe longer, since there is alot of work to be done on the game. I dont mind paying but I'm a long time subscriber but I dont think new people who have never played Dofus will like the idea of paying for a short unfinished game, hence the bad reviews. But I'm sure the devs and publishers will sort the whole matter out.

I'd personally give the game a 11 out fo 20 (french standards).
Say a C.
It's good as far as it goes. For people that want to level, there's places to level. For people that want to play casual, there's enough socializing to be done. The government system is unique, and I love it. However, corruption exists.
It just feels incomplete however. There is next to no content for level 65/70+ players, and there's a severe lack of balance for all classes. Eco-terrorists are also quite a nuisance, since I just got the Herbalist profession and had to search for hours to find some Thistle Seeds.

This is a perfect opportunity to show ankama what we think about them and their unfinished game, because usually they won't bother listening to players.

Releasing the game in it's current state was a mistake, there are many minor and few major bugs, class aren't balanced, main features (economy, ecology, politics) aren't great ... all this wouldn't even matter that much if ankama was DOING SOMETHING to repair the game, 4 weeks have passed and there was what? one hotfix?

You want us to share our vision? We will, but I'm not quite sure this will be the vision you wanted us to share.

I too am going to rate the game down, since I don't want my friends / other ppl to suffer from the same shit we have to atm. You get my votes and support when the game is worth it. I'm sad to say this but I think no one should be playing this game as it is.

I'v been arguing a lot lately, trying to defend Wakfus current state but now I must say... I surrender. I'v been playing Wakfu for some time now, and I'm really... really disappointed. It's just sad to say / admit that this game is ruined because the amount of grinding / farming it is asking. The only content the game currently has, is the never ending grinding of levels and farming of resources.

I really hope that no one will start playing Wakfu until they make the game content more worth to pay for.

Ankama, you have made an terrible disappointment.

Well, seems like Im the only one who REALLY love Wakfu and enjoy every minute in game.
Or not, since there is so many people in the game, and I don't see them complaining. Really, People in the game and people on the forum are like 2 different worlds...

I gave you 3 dear ankama team.
You released half working game without full 14 classes.
The rest of classes are not balanced and the game is full of bugs.
I'm going back to dofus <3

I keep all kinds of tree cuttings with me, because you never know when someone will annihilate a species. The economy doesn't really function and I get the idea that Haven Gems are a ultra rare item, like you'll be lucky to get one after playing for endless months.

Battle system is really nice though, reminds me of FF Tactics.

I think it's an epic MMORPG, a bit expensive, but lovely.
I love the ecosystem and the economy, it's awesome and realistic. I just think that the tree and plants could grow up once a day at the world. The rest is okay.

The battle system is awesome, but i think that could have more equipaments of all levels.
Also, there could be more mobs in each island.

Out of respect for the developers, I'm holding back from writing a review until the new content/bug fixes have been added. Some of the reviews already posted are completely out-of-perspective, ranking the game 0/10 just because they chose to burn themselves out on the existing content.

At its current state, Wakfu booms with potential - the ecosystem mechanic is unique and superb, the political system shows promise, the nation system will likely flourish when the PvP scene fully emerges and the character classes are imaginative and original.

However, the game suffers with class imbalance, excessive grinding/farming, worthless items (forcing players to pick from the same 1-2~ equipment sets out of the many potential choices), a stale economy, a lack of content and a handful of bugs relating to spells, subscriptions and server-client connections.

There are also concerns with the double-payment system (Subscription+Cash Shop, with non-cosmetic gameplay-affecting items on offer), an inability to reset stat points/levels (even as a CS service) and multi-accounting - individual players occupying multiple Government positions, and alts filling up dungeon party spaces that another real player would be grateful for.

I do like Wakfu; I'm just concerned it's not 'looking its best for the cameras', so to speak. So I'll wait to see the next patch, and then I'll post my review - in the hope that the developers can restore my faith in the game by tackling these particular problems.
