Dev Talk #1
Following the success of our previous Q&A session, we decided to make it a regular thing!
Say hello to the Dev Talk!
Here are the answers to some of the most recurring questions.
Although we cannot give lost items back (due to possible abuses that could arise), we are trying to set up compensation gifts that could be provided case by case depending on the reason of the loss.
We will also make sure to better communicate on the amount of gifts provided on the account and if they are tradable or not.
If we can set up this compensation, you will of course be informed officially.
First we want to assure that we do not plan on adding any other types of Makabras than weapons and rings in the Boutique.
Also know that we will do our best for crafted items to have advantages over Makabras. Give value to crafting is one of our mid-term objectives, notably by adding high level recipes.
We are aware of the issue and are working on a solution to increase storage space (in addition to inventory and chests). The first alternative that we want to add in the next patch is the removal of all profession tools to free inventory space. From now on you will no longer need an item to harvest. Bonuses provided by “golden” items will stay ingame thanks to new consumables that can be crafted.
Removing the profession tools will allow us to free an equipment slot that can be dedicated to insignias. This should prevent you from having to equip/unequip the insignias between each harvesting.
We do not plan on changing the xp rate at the moment. We already have many high level players proving the solidity of the current system. However rebalancing is not impossible, experience as well as classes.
We already addressed this question last week (click here) but we can talk about it again.
We set up a lot of restriction notably to prevent bot problems. However the actual offer already allows a good first experience of the game and its basic mechanics: accessing Incarnam and Astrub with every interaction possible, and the rest of the world to explore.
We do know however about the division between subscribers and non-subscribers and are looking into possible improvements, such as the grouping and trading systems. Nothing should be expected too soon, however.
Fixing bugs is a constant matter as we attentively follow your feedback, on the forums and through the support. When possible, we try to implements hotfixes between two patches, allowing us to fix the most critical bugs. But it shouldn’t be forgotten that WAKFU is a MMO in a persistent world and that constantly adding new content can lead to bug presence.
We are working hard to make sure that your gaming experience does not suffer from it.
We hope that this topic answered some of your questions and will keep on gathering your feedback and providing more answers!

Here are the answers to some of the most recurring questions.
Will I be able to get my lost gifts and purchases back?
Although we cannot give lost items back (due to possible abuses that could arise), we are trying to set up compensation gifts that could be provided case by case depending on the reason of the loss.
We will also make sure to better communicate on the amount of gifts provided on the account and if they are tradable or not.

Will Makabras kill professions?
First we want to assure that we do not plan on adding any other types of Makabras than weapons and rings in the Boutique.
Also know that we will do our best for crafted items to have advantages over Makabras. Give value to crafting is one of our mid-term objectives, notably by adding high level recipes.
What to do against lack of inventory space?
We are aware of the issue and are working on a solution to increase storage space (in addition to inventory and chests). The first alternative that we want to add in the next patch is the removal of all profession tools to free inventory space. From now on you will no longer need an item to harvest. Bonuses provided by “golden” items will stay ingame thanks to new consumables that can be crafted.
What about the lack of slots for insignias?
Removing the profession tools will allow us to free an equipment slot that can be dedicated to insignias. This should prevent you from having to equip/unequip the insignias between each harvesting.
Don’t you think that the xp rate is too hard?
We do not plan on changing the xp rate at the moment. We already have many high level players proving the solidity of the current system. However rebalancing is not impossible, experience as well as classes.
Do you plan on altering the non-subscriber experience?
We already addressed this question last week (click here) but we can talk about it again.

Why are there so many bugs?
Fixing bugs is a constant matter as we attentively follow your feedback, on the forums and through the support.
