Two things I get out of this...

1. It's another Dofus solution. In Dofus you get stat scrolls, which are basically a form of grind. Sure they have level-limits, but it can still be used to abnormally distort a character's progression.

2. It shows that they don't understand the problems with their own learn-by-doing system. The character-XP scrolls being different from the spell-XP scrolls obviously leads to a mismatch between character level and spell level, completely screwing up any form of measurable progression-curve.

There have been a couple of other signs which back up this lack of understanding... support spells which can kill is one example (e.g. using a weapon to activate doll-seeds) mean you can win a fight without getting any spell-XP. Weapons are another example of this, where you can win a fight without getting spell-XP... but the weapon system is woefully underdeveloped anyway, so they clearly have no idea what to do with them.

by having the third topic it means everyone can post their bug on that topic and make it much "easier" to just scroll through the bug reports for that competition instead and the rules are that your bug reports are only counted for the new reports this patch,

by posting them all in one place it . divides the current bug reports (for this last patch before full release) from the old bug reports...
The forum can track dates... dates between patch releases. Easy to eliminate which version of the game they're for.

It's not that hard.

Posting them all in one thread does make it harder to track repeating reports... so, what is one issue doesn't get confirmed by others, because other people just report it again, it gets multiple reports which could be different things, which brings ambiguity.

Multiple threads are specifically to separate different issues... pushing it all into one thread will give you many pages, with only 20 per page (or whatever the forum limit is)... which is frankly not that convenient since stuff like "new threads" etc is not tracked, just when the giant thread gets a new post (whether 1 new post or 2000)

please don't post social stuff or complaints about the bug smashing program on that post, thats what i made this post for

and the whole point of this is that its a freindly compettition to name as many bugs in the game as possible and you can get a reward for describing the most.

this is not "stupid" its an incentive to help remove bugs. the bug and technical issues forums are very underused, by having a prize for reporting bugs more people will report bugs and will be actively looking for bugs, thus creating a better game.
You've completely missed my point in this thread... there is nothing that says "post in that thread" in that thread... there is a whole subforum specifically for the bug-smashing. Why would you limit 100s of bug-reports to a single thread? That's why I'm asking you why YOU think people should "only post in that thread" when there're no signs indicating that is the intended process.

It's "stupid" because there are two under-used forums... and they've just made a 3rd one that completely ignores those pre-existing ones. So, anyone who was already helpfully reporting issues is ignored, while people who're posting in the new subforum somehow get rewards.

So, I'll post in that thread, asking a question, because it is a thread for announcing the bug-smashing program, not the only thread for the bug-smashing program, not one which is "the only thread for bug-smash reports" since there's a whole subforum for that..

What I said last time about your posts, is relevant here again.

also Dont post bugs here, post them on the linked topic above
Why do you think it has a whole subforum if you're just supposed to post in a single thread?

Maybe you should've read the FAQ in the General Discussions.

since Wakfu seems to be far less PvP orientated than its predecessor
I don't think that's quite right.

Wakfu might not have an arena, or any particular reward for PvP, PvP rules, etc right now... but it is very much at the heart of the game. With the citizenship system, PvP is used to become a criminal and to arrest a criminal. In the ecosystem, PvP is the only way to defend your crops from thieves. Rush dungeons are a form of indirect PvP where you can "out-do" other players to get on the leaderboard. Wars/territory/CM bonuses are obviously about capturing areas (often having to beat other players to reach your destination safely).

PvP is a free-for-all given that there are almost no restrictions on who you can attack, or who you have to defend against, which means balance is actually quite important to the Wakfu "experience".

It's not that expensive. If you bought Skyrim for instance that's 300 for a Console and 100 for the game.
it's only $15 for 3 months that's the price of a Large Coffee ($50 a year saves you $10).
I wouldn't want to live where you do.
Amazon has Skyrim for $60, and you can play it on PC (again ~$60) so you don't actually need a console (and ignoring that you need a PC for Wakfu). I'm guessing you're talking about the most expensive version of Skyrim, which is the collector's edition, and ignoring things like Steam-sales (which often put $60 products below $10).

You can get a whole jar of coffee for roughly $4.

Yechnagoth is talking about the fact they seem to be saying the current Gemlin will be replaced with a generic "gemlin" pet.

It will look like a gemlin, but it will not have the functionality of the current gemlin. It will just be a +50 HP pet.

Are people seriously complaining about new content being added?
It's not really about content...

It's another sign that Ankama are reverting to Dofus-proved design rather than separating the two products. That Ankama are showing they don't really have much of an idea as to what direction they want the project to go in. That they're throwing in more random stuff at the last minute without testing or really any relation with the game everyone has been playing in Beta. That they're avoiding the issues with pre-existing aspects of the game by simply adding other things in, whether as a form of distraction or lack of direction.

So, now quests are going to be added to Wakfu. I thought that quests weren't going to be added, as that would require more NPC's?
Along with "no levels", "no NPCs", etc just another idea they threw out when they couldn't get it to work

Except you clearly haven't, since the count is still 0

The separation of appearance from stats is a pretty big boost for customisation, especially in Wakfu where most of your body is actually covered by equipment... it's very difficult to spot the difference between two people wearing the same set, even if they're of completely different classes and colours.

Lol... yet another success for the Int community!

Unfortunately the link looks correct, it's just that the page isn't accessible. The Fr page only works if you want to reserve on the French server.

Unfortunately it's not a very good sandbox (and the introduction is anything but)

Someone said it before, but Incarnam really sets people up to think it's like Dofus... NPCs, the kama-minting "tutorial" acts very much like a quest, as does the dojo and the ecosystem areas... Astrub has its 3 feathers "quest", and then you're sent to your nation.

At that point, most of the world is rigid. You can't even interact with most resources, let alone harvest/plant them. You don't see challenges in the very first area, and monsters auto-respawn (yes, the ecosystem tutorial shows you how to replant... but that's only animals, and most of the monsters don't immediately need this either).

Once you get into the sandbox/player-run game there's no real "new" aspect of the game, just a removal of features. Shop-NPCs are removed, monster don't automatically respawn, resources don't respawn, quests don't exist while "hourly quests" (challenges) have to be manually operated by the government, PvP is unregulated, etc... rather than a "world" it's a farmyard (all animals live and die by your hand)

It has all the trappings of a theme-park MMO, but the "rides" are replaced by menial chores. "Player-run" in the same way that replacing cars with rickshaws would make the transport industry player-run.

amakna is not giving items strength stats its just the writer on that wiki put down strength instead of earth% by mistake.
As far as I'm aware Wakfu-Elements uses data-mining to pull the information directly from the game-files... so it doesn't seem likely that it is misrepresenting the actual bonuses provided by the sets.
