A first sum up following the release
Hi everyone,
More than two days after release, it is now about time for us to have a first look back at this amazing experience.
You sent us many feedbacks, for which we can never thank you enough. Some of this feedback was positive, but also a lot of concerns and interrogations showed up.
We decided to address some of these concerns.
In the next days, we will be implementing a new patch bringing improvements following your feedback, such as drop balance and recipes, alongside the usual bug fixing that we will detail in an upcoming changelog.
Will subscription sets become tradable?
Yes. Currently, only pets are tradable. With the patch, elemental sets gained thanks to the subscription tokens will become tradable as well. Players will be able to trade them or transfer them to other characters on the same account. These gifts will stay available for only one character on the account, and not all characters.
Why are some gifts not tradable?
It’s the case of the Survivor set and the Pioneer set. They are not tradable because they are special event gifts offered to thank players for their help during Beta and for purchasing a pre subscription. Linking these items to an account is a way to give a real sense to this exclusive aspect. Were they tradable, the exclusivity would lose all its sense as they would become a selling good with much too high value, since they cannot be acquired in the game.
Boutique items are they tradable?
No, except for Makabras and pets accessories.
You added items with stats in your Boutique. Don’t you think that this will favor a specific category of players?
We wanted to add evolving equipment (weapons and rings), level 0 and providing no bonus on purchase, but progressing over time with the player wearing them. These items are based on the same balance table as any other item in the game, meaning that a Makabra level 70 will not be more powerful than a Battlestick Galaktika of a similar level. There is no unbalance.
Why do the WAKFU non-subscribers have so few advantages ingame, and why don’t they have as much freedom as the the DOFUS non-subscribers?
Only because it is a different gaming experience and the impact players can have on the game is much higher, when it comes to politics and ecosystem especially.
Only subscribers can access the politic aspect and the ecosystem. This is intended.
If free accounts could have a direct effect on nation politics and environment, a lot of abuse and unbalance could appear: fake votes for elections, devastated areas by bots… These are some of the cases we faced during Beta and want to spare subscribers from.
Why preventing trades between subscribers and non-subscribers?
This is the same kind of unbalance issue that we want to keep an eye on. Let’s take money crafting as an example. If trades between subscribers and non-subscribers would be possible, probable abuses and kama traffic, notably due to bots, could threaten the economic balance of the game. This is another problem we want to spare you from.
That being said, we’re looking into evolutions of the trading system, as well as enabling grouping between subscribers and non-subscribers.
We hope that this thread addressed some of your questions and concerns. We will keep our presence on the forums and ingame to gather your feedbacks as best as we can.
