Looks cool, Im only worried that they're gonna be too strong. They should be noticeable weaker than the players...
They should be pretty strong. The only thing that should make them weaker is the lack of passive abilities. Still they should be an efficient option for NOT grouping with other players. Nothing is going to make me group with other players or waste time looking for a group. Solo players are either going to play because this sidekick system is good, or they are going to play another game.

LOL they have 5 spells (I think) and no passives.
No, it should be a weaker option for a party or a solo player when they can't find a real player, not a replacement for people.
Why make mmorpg and encourage people to play alone? It makes no sense at all. Of course if someone wants to play alone, he has a right to, but playing in a group should be rewarded, not alone...

7 spells, while one-element players have 5 spells+ support spells, and we are not using all of them, so yeah, they can be OP with 7 spells.
I'd use this guy just to watch his fluffy tail get in the way of the enemy!

They have five spells, one support spell that costs 1-2 wakfu, and one passive that is a buff similar to: Gains +40% Damage, gains +20% damage per ally.

Despite two spells being colored as if they are elemental spells, there are only 4 elemental spells. The other 3 on each character are specialty spells. Of these specialties, there are 2 actives and 1 passive specialties. It would be good if you actually went on the beta to look at them. And for your enjoyment, the Sidekicks were semi-viable before this Monday beta update, but they now are not viable at all even for normal mobs.

Anyway, one thing, and this is just nitpicking but....

Why is it that the Dofus version of Lumino animations for the tail are far more fluent than the Wakfu versions?

The wakfu tail is just...there.

It doesn't flow with the freedom of the dofus version...which is odd, seeing as I find dofus' animations to be rather stiff in comparison to wakfu so...this just kind of threw me off big time.

I know you guys didn't just slap it on there because of how wakfu's animations work for your character templates..... I can't even imagine why they wouldn't take the extra time to animate the dumb tail for wakfu...

At the very least, they need to animate it to be a cape for Firefoux sake... or else, just remove it all together and say that Lumino became used goods after the dofus era and lost his fluffy tail in the process.
After looking at the beta, it seems that lumino will be a better healer than a saddida.
I'm honestly a little disappointed at how much work was put into the dofus videos to make them look cool while the wakfu one is kinda disappointing.

I never said it was 7 elemental spells tongue And I did check them on the beta server.

Can you elaborate what happened after the beta update to make them not viable?
