New ghostof names should be reconsidered
posté December 17, 2011, 18:27:10 | #1
New ghostof names should be reconsidered I don't know if its just me, but I fail to see any reason behind this change. What is their relation with beers or brewing? I can't find any. The only thing I could imagine would be, maybe they drop beverages (which, unless this was changed recently, they do not)? But still, you'd look at them and the places they are in and think "why brewers?".

Also, two of the incarnam gobballs are called "gobbette"and the other "goblette". I believe Goblette was one of the old names of the current Gobbette, I'm not sure, but either way, they could be called gobbly instead of goblette. Would be easier to make a difference between them, and make more sense since they are called gobblys outside incarnam.

I agree, this was a pointless change.
Their level has been doubled, their name changed and their spawn place has changed.
Ghostofs were one the best mobs to level up from lvl.12-13 to lvl.19-20. Now they are only suitable for lvl.20-25 to lvl.30ish players, and at that level you can kill Tofus, Gobballs, Bliblis, Toads, Scaras and etc.

The name Brewers could perhaps come from Three Pistes dungeon, Ghostofs in there talk about brewing and their leader is a Pandawa and, if I remember correctly you get that drink which makes you transform into a Ghostof from it, also they seem to spawn near the tavern in Brakmar.

Still, I don't see any reason behind this change.

I had forgotten about their relation with that dungeon, but still, even "ghostof brewer" would be better than just brewer.

Indeed Brewer is just stupid, and what about monster's Ghostof's? Are they going to be like "Toad Brewer"?
