EXP Leveling System Question
Hello everyone! I have a question concerning how (if at all) level differences affect the EXP received in certain situations. All help appreciated!

I'm level 49 and I want to help my beginner cousin level quickly. If I take him to Polters (high level creatures), will he receive any experience? Would he receive EXP if I took him to weaker monsters even if there's a significant level difference between us? I heard something about the closer your total group level is to the monster or mob you're fighting the better experience you receive. I'm not sure. I'd really like to help my cousin level up (he's a total noob). Other than that, I really want to understand the EXP system.

All help is thoroughly appreciated! Thank you!

I see. The 12AP build is an end-game build, in a sense. Although, I think I'll stay with an 8AP build for my first character. For the 12AP build to be successful I'd have to spend my characteristics on 2AP, which totals 400 points being used. I rather stay with 8AP and invest mostly on Chance.

I really, really appreciate your help. I promise this will be my last question! I know it is complex, but please reply if you have the time:

My Eni is a supportive one, meaning my damage comes from the Zombie + Heal combo. Which means I prefer to take on single-target monsters. With this in mind, where do you recommend I level up alone? When I have a team, it's great. We go to Polters and everything. Sadly, I can't have a team 24/7, and I need to know how to level myself when I don't have a crew around.

I'm currently Level 40. Where do you recommend I level up?

Thanks beforehand!

Hello there! Welcome to Wakfu, and I hope you can subscribe and stay sometime soon!

Onto business: You are quite right about the branches. Enis have countless builds and play styles, and if you like the idea of a Fire/Water Eni, then by all means go for it. You'll enjoy it. Enis are capable of Solo Play (even with the Water branch), but in my opinion their core design is meant for supportive roles. I suggest you consider the importance of working in a team and the benefits of doing so. You don't, however, have to do this until you reach level 30-40 or so , but Eniripsa team play is so wonderful. Consider joining a guild to make interactions much easier and fruitful.

As for you being a non-subscriber, you shouldn't worry for now. You can hunt for both Piwi and Googoo sets of your elemental focus, and the combination will help you greatly. When you reach Lv.25 you will gain access to Mount Zinit, where levels come easily. After which (Level 40 or so) you should really consider subscribing.

Happy Wakfu! Any questions feel free to reply.

Do as the game tells you to do.
Check that your graphic drivers are up to date.

I already checked it. I think the problem is my graphic card driver. It's Intel. I need solution.

Help any1??

The "update your driver" is always the apparently perfect solution to all your troubles. With most good computers, it's not. I have a 6 year old computer that runs Wakfu perfectly, and my second computer (the one with the error) is just 2 years old.

The problem here is that for some reason Wakfu detects your driver/graphics card as "DGI Generic (it basically sucks)". when in my case I have an Intel Core 2 Duo with fully updated drivers. Not a DGI Generic graphics card.

I'm trying a few possible solutions to see if I get something. If not I'll just play Wakfu in my 6 year old computer (the irony of it).

Good luck!

If I recall correctly, that's a graphical glitch that has to do with wisdom scrolls. The upshot is that you didn't waste any time, but unfortunately you were never level 30. You should be decently close to leveling up though, if it's the same bug.

Oh my! If that is the glitch, then that makes perfect sense! I did use hazardous amounts of Wisdom Scrolls I won from Wild Quests, like killing 20 Piwis and such. Oh, now I feel stupid for being mad at Amakna. It technically is, yet isn't their fault, but you can't remain mad at such a nice game for too long

I'll let you guys know if this is the bug after I receive a reply to my support ticket! Thank you! (+1)

Progress Loss Hello everyone. Let me start by stating how very distressed I am, for I just bought Ogrines to subscribe and I cannot believe such a bug is capable of happening. I already contacted Ankama and submit my ticket, but just in case they don't reply or I posted in the wrong section, I come here for help.

I left the end of Zinit (Chapter 4) when I was Level 30 to recruit people. While I was doing this, I went to the Wakfu website and bought Ogrines, after which I went to the Boutique and bought an item. I then logged off the game and logged back in so that I could obtain my item by clicking the Gift button that appears. I noticed, though, I was at a location I had been 30 minutes ago, and that I was now Level 29, as if everything I had done in the past time was erased. Oddly enough, though, when I went to my Quest tab, it appeared I did complete the quest.

The situation seems eerily similar to that of a gamer who forgot to save the progress on a console game. What frustrates me is that there is no "Save" button we have to press in games like Wakfu. I know it might seems stupid that I am so frustrated with the loss of just 1 level, but what scares me the most is that this might happen in the future.

Imagine yourself obtaining 10 levels, and when you log back in you don't have any of that anymore. The potential for destruction this bug holds frightens me. Has this happened to you? If so, what did you do? Can you help me?

Please, and thank you!

UPDATE:

Ankama has not responded to my bug support ticket, and due to their busy reputation, I do not think they will for a while: but, the issue is as resolved as can be!

Thanks to the immediate reply of Lucinius (his reply is bellow), and 2 friends of mine who have gone through the same thing, I have concluded it indeed is a graphical issue with the Wisdom Scrolls, where they cause your character to appear a greater level than it really is until you log off and back in.

Please read the post bellow for further information, and I hope that this post could be of use to those who may experience this same problem.

Slightly irrelevant but my IGN is Spark, made me laugh ha

Don't worry, you're not the reason why I can't use Spark as my IGN! I use the Spanish-Community server Elbor, so unless you also happen to be there, it's not your fault!

Happy gaming!

Actually I'm now playing Air eni but I once being healing eni too ^-^
my eni is Psykosis Flask spam type so she stuck with MP gear but I can change her to 8AP for healing+fire mode...if it need.....
so......for me this 2 branch is sometime similar
here is my opinion about gear

lv1-34 die to Gobball set
At early level you still can do a little heal no matter how much water you add so more AP for more combo,Tofu set is optional too for extra MP....just choose what you like more

lv35-61 die to Royal Gobball set
Now it's time for you to shining! spend your point on! go ahead and have fun with your 8AP. Also you can mix or change some part with other gear when your lvl is about 4x [Krala, Sufokia Riktus blah blah] but don't worry about gone off 1AP from uncomplete Royal Gobb set cuz you have satis ring to help.
**I recomment you to use satis ring after you can grab +1MP boot**

lv62-78 die to Wild Gobball set
sweet extra MP from full set bonus, have fun darling!!

and from lv79+

Monastery Rat set Lv79
- huge boost for crit
- +1 range[4 items] and +1 MP [full set]

Starry Set Lv82
- +1AP

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Great recommendations. I'll look them over so I start planning my set progress.

Take care!

I did not know a 12 AP build was possible! I have a new goal now. It is very reliant in Equipment, but it's worth it.

You've been so much help, but I'm sorry I'll have to bother you again:

  • At the moment, you recommend I invest my points on 2 AP and 1 Range? Also, because of the Nerf, should I only use my points for 1 AP and 1 Range, and then invest on Chance for damage?
  • Last but not least, what equipment do you recommend I use at early levels? Should I focus on Water boosting Equipment, like the famous Puddly set, or should I go for AP Equipment even since the early levels from 20-50 or so (I thought about the Royal Gobbal Set as a nice compromise of Water and +AP).

Thank you so very much! You've been such great help! (+1)

I found most Marks are useful, and concerning the Fire Branch I think it's more about play style. I didn't know about the party size buff, so thanks for telling me that!

And yeah, what you say is very true about the sets.

Thanks for the help!

Thanks for replying!

I thought about sticking with a Fire Mark after I run out of WP. I thought the one most beneficial to my allies would be Hmill Mark, but Refund Mark is much stronger. I might stick with it for backup damage if I don't go with Ting Mark. It just seems that if I'm to level a Fire spell at all to fight with, it should be Ting. It would be most useful to my Eni arsenal.

Thank you so, so very much! Very detailed and clear. I'm sure of what's best for my Eniripsa now. For some reason the new experience system made me think I had to limit my spells, but I forgot about the whole XP reallocation feature! You also shed light on my assumption that AP equipment was somehow negative in a way. The Starry Set looks great!

Much appreciated! I can't thank you enough! (+1)

Complex Discussion About Eniripsas Hey there! Thanks for the time and attention. All help appreciated!

Due to the following questions and discussion being focused on the long-term life of a Water and Heal specialized Eniripsa, please analyze, answer, and discuss everything predominantly under a context that benefits Water/Heal Enis.

Characteristics:

  • Its seems right to direct all points towards Chance to increase the power of Water. I hear much about investing the first 150 points on 1 AP, after which everything goes into Chance. This being the first step to achieve an 8 AP Eni. It seems like an amazing feat to accomplish, but is it worth using the first 150 points and enduring the pain of a Satisfaction Ring? Or is there a better way to attain 8 AP without losing the first 150 points or suffering the Satisfaction Ring? I worry greatly about this. I wish to heal as greatly and efficiently as possible, and it makes sense an 8 AP Eni with great Chance can save the day with 2 uses of Fortifying Word. Or am I wrong? Is there a better way to heal? Please help me with this! It troubles me the most!

Spells:

  • The newest update brought along the evolution of the spell experience system. What are your opinions on this concerning the Eni? Should an Eni playing as a Heal Machine master 1 spell per branch, or focus solely on Water and stay with just 2 mastered spells? Should we, as Eni who choose to venture as pure healers, specialize in the Water branch or deviate towards all 3?
  • Us Eni are told Unnatural Remedies is an essential addition to our arsenal, but if our core chosen role is that of a Heal Machine (at least this is the one I chose), shouldn't we forget about Unnatural Remedies and use Air/Fire for combat when required? Isn't it better to invest the points from Unnatural Remedies on another spell? Or is it always good to carry with this spell, noting that perhaps growing without it is a burden? Can we proceed with the healing arts without the use of this spell? If so, how?

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I apologize for all the questions and the racket, but I really want to be among the best Enis around. I'm determined to do everything I can. I'm really, oh so very serious about healing everyone and magnificently playing out my role. Again, all help greatly appreciated.

With love and curiosity,

-Sppark

I believe it's worth paying for Wakfu. Besides, I think it's already set to be P2P in February. Those of us willing to pay will just have to do; we'll keep Wakfu going.

Same story... *sighs* I was yesterday playing with some friends like normal and today, a new update with the restriction of client account. I'm from Puerto Rico which is a US territory even though we are an island in the Caribbean. So Please address this because I refuse to be in Elbor since I have friends in Remington.
To all Puerto Ricans: It appears we have to be present physically in North American vicinity to use Nox. It doesn't matter we're American citizens.

Okay, after reading from everyone here and thinking a bit I have a question that should work as the solution. When I try to log on to Nox, this is the message I get

Where can I download this client?

When I try to download the NA version it redirects me to the Amakna website, not Square Enix. Crap.

Holy cow, I just realized us Puerto Ricans have to play with the Spanish community! What the hell?
Anyway: delete and re-install the program? I did it and it's fixed.

Just that this decision is even gonnna earn them less money, not more...

I agree. I think the loss of players won't outdo the amount of incoming traffic on February, though. I think patience is key in this. Perhaps when Wakfu is more economically developed they will open more servers for the "outside" language speakers. I trust it'll eventually happen.
